“We finally took the plunge and got under contract in time to stay under NM 2.0*. We had many companies quote us and do some initial surveying but they always backed out because of our Cal-Shake roof (despite us being VERY clear that our roof is usually a sticking point). Pacific was the only company who sent a roofer to our house to make sure they could do an install and not break too many tiles and also restore the tiles around the solar panels so the roof maintained its look. The project manager was very communicative about everything including finance options, schedule, etc. There was a long backlog of work (not the company’s fault) so it took about 2-3 months to start the work, IIRC. The install was methodical and looks great. *Just a little rant. “Put your concerns aside and let Dean, Tom, James and the rest of the team take care of you. I swear Dean is the most patient (no pressure) sales guy I’ve ever met. Yo say he is thorough is an understatement. He carefully looks at all information available from the types of systems to the pros and cons of each and tailors them to the individual’s requirements. The best part is he doesn’t oversell you on things you don’t need. In my case I wanted a system to eventually be ready for an electric car. Dean wisely advised not to buy the extra pieces now when they would be of no value to me, but ensured my system would be ready for upgrades when I was ready. Since our initial install we have upgraded our system on 3 occasions, each time carefully planned out to maximize the value of the equipment and to get the best bang for the buck.
