Positive reviews:
“Porter Electric was chosen because they were an approved vendor for solar by State of Illinois. The people from Porter were very professional and easy to work with and they completed the project on time. They plan the project, install the product, and monitor the project. They also filed all the paper work for incentives given by SOI and Ameren. I would definitely work with them again for any future projects” – Diana Webb ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ August 2026
“Went with Porter to install solar panels on my house. After several months of research and quotes, Porter was the clear choice. Cameron was patient, knowledgeable and assisted with some revision after the initial quote. From there the process continued to be smooth with regular communication and updates. Matt and his team (Tyler and Austin) were outstanding during the installation. They were dilligent and worked hard to complete the installation in 2 days. I have had solar for over 2 months and love it and the Solar Edge app. Natalie also helped with support on the final contracts for SREC. My only regret was not installing solar with Porter sooner!” – Matt W ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2025
Negative reviews:
“$249 for 10mins of scraping corrosion off an electrical box is ridiculous.” – Rigid Angel ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2021
