Powur review

What People Appreciate:

• Solid Overall Experience: One customer described their whole experience working with the company as really positive.
• They Keep You in the Loop: Individuals cited particular crews such as those of Chris Roberts of Mohammed’s crew and Robert McClung that did not hesitate to keep them informed of developments every step of the way.
• Quick to Respond and Actually Helpful: Some teams and players were called out for being quick to reply and actually helpful.
• Professional from Beginning to End: Throughout the initial sales discussion all the way to actual installation, customers mentioned terms such as friendly, professional, and efficient to summarize the entirety of it.

Where Things Went Wrong:

• Communication Was Basically Nonexistent: Multiple people complained about getting zero communication and nobody taking responsibility for anything.
• Deliveries and Appointments Were a Mess: Solar panels and batteries showed up without warning, requiring signatures when nobody was home. Installers just didn’t show up on the day they were supposed to, leading to cancellations and everything getting pushed back.
• Sloppy, Incomplete Work: Jobs were left half-finished with old equipment still hanging around and wires exposed on walls. Wrong equipment got installed—like incorrect meter sockets—which meant they had to order new Gateway units and start over.

The Cons:

• Some Consultants Really Know Their Stuff: Some had a superb or even extraordinary experience dealing with particular consultants that were found to be skilled, proactive, sincere, and genuinely familiar with solar. Sales Support that Actually Supports: Several of the salespeople were commended for being honest and straight forward, staying active through it all, and even making calls at strange hours or after installs were finished.
• Quality Installation Work: Customers reported phenomenal installation jobs—seamless, quick, efficient, and done by friendly crews. People said they were 100% satisfied with the actual work.
• It Actually Saves Money: The big win for many was getting that $0 power bill during hot summer months when the AC is running nonstop, plus the peace of mind knowing their monthly costs would stay stable. One person even got nearly double the panels for less money per month.

The Negatives:

• They Destroyed Roofs and Wouldn’t Fix Them: The worst complaints involve the company or their subcontractors literally destroying roofs, causing leaks and structural damage—one person’s ceiling caved in—and then refusing to fix it or even return calls.
• You Can’t Get Anyone on the Phone: This is the complaint that shows up over and over. People report zero phone support, voicemails that are constantly full, terrible chat support, vague emails that don’t answer questions, and project managers and customer service who just won’t take responsibility.
• Systems That Don’t Work and You’re Still Paying: A bunch of customers are stuck with systems that stopped producing power, but they’re still paying the solar loan on top of their regular electric bill. They’ve been dealing with this for years, and when technicians come out, they claim they can’t find anything wrong.

What’s Working:

• They Design Systems for Your Specific Situation: Powur customizes each solar setup based on what you actually need, which should maximize your savings.
• They Handle Everything Themselves: Everything from installation to the user experience is done in-house, which supposedly leads to more reliable results.
• Flexibility for Busy People: They offer virtual meetings, which is convenient if you’ve got a packed schedule.

What’s Not Working:

• Project Managers Go Silent: Once contracts are signed, some customers reported their project managers basically disappeared.
• The App Is Useless: Whatever app Powur has, some users found it completely unhelpful.

The Few Good Points:

• Sales Reps Are Persistent: The sales person was noted as being really effective at convincing a senior citizen to sign up, get the panels installed, and secure financing. (Though the way this is described sounds a bit pushy.)
• They Eventually Get It Done: One customer acknowledged that yes, the company did eventually install their system and it did eventually get turned on.

The Serious Problems:

• Zero Support After the Sale: Once the sale is made, customers got no help when their battery backup systems failed or didn’t generate any power.
• You’re Paying Twice: People had to keep paying their regular electric company on top of the loan for solar panels that weren’t even working.
• Dishonest Sales Tactics: A salesperson allegedly lied to an elderly woman, telling her she wouldn’t have to pay for the panels.
• Health Concerns: One customer claimed their mother developed lung problems because of the panel installation.

The Bad Experiences:

• One person’s solar panels got installed in October but still weren’t working months later. The company didn’t seem to care at all about their concerns.
• Tom Philips described an absolute nightmare—his elderly mother’s installation dragged out for 16 months with constant broken promises and multiple project managers. Panels and equipment were installed, but the job was never finished.
• Darlene Spears dealt with delays and terrible communication. Even though they promised a quick turnaround, she struggled to get permits and felt like she was being taken advantage of.
• David Mitchell spent extra money trying to update his system and still called Powur the worst solar panel installer he’d dealt with—they offered no real solutions.

The One Bright Spot:

• Megan had a genuinely positive experience. She praised the seamless installation process, mentioned they’ve done thousands of successful installs, liked the competitive pricing, and appreciated the excellent warranty.

Negative Experiences:

• Someone’s panels were installed in October but weren’t operational for months. The lack of response and apparent indifference from the company was really frustrating.
• Another customer shared their 16-month installation nightmare with multiple project managers and broken promises. The project never got completed, which was especially hard on an elderly customer.
• One person signed their contract in May but faced constant delays because of permit issues and promises that never materialized.
• A customer expressed dissatisfaction with having insufficient communication from the company and selling them a system that could not effectively meet their needs. They even had to spend extra finances just to have a functioning system.

Positive Experiences:

• One client commended Powur’s platform to make it easy to go solar. They highlighted all the installations they’ve completed, competitive pricing, and a solid warranty.
• While acknowledging room for improvement, some customers appreciated excellent customer service, quick responses, and an overall positive experience.

What Employees Like:

• The Mission Feels Good: Employees appreciate feeling like they’re working toward something meaningful.
• Some Find It Satisfying: Not everyone, but some people are happy with their work there.
• Schedule Flexibility: You have flexible hours to yourself, although some complain that it is virtually too flexible.
• There is Enthusiasm: They mention that they are enthusiastic about what they do even if it is disorganised.

What Employees Don’t Like:

• Training Is Terrible: Some employees say the training from “mentors” is really bad. Expectations are high but the actual support and teaching doesn’t match up.
• It’s an MLM-style operation: An ex-sales representative advises to stay away as it is commission-only without much training and it is difficult to locate others to purchase solar.
• Getting Paid Takes Forever: Employees report that payouts are really slow.
• Working Solo Is Rough: While the flexibility sounds nice, actually working independently without proper support is challenging. Monthly Fees Deduct from Income: Independent sales representatives must pay a monthly platform fee.

The Complaints:

• Someone’s solar panels were installed in October but still weren’t working. The company seemed completely indifferent, and the whole experience was described as a nightmare.
• Another customer’s elderly mother dealt with a 16-month installation disaster. The project was never finished, even though people kept saying it would be. There were broken promises and more than one project manager. The reviewer strongly recommended avoiding this company. One of the customers who signed in May experienced prolongations and unsatisfactory communications as he battled through permit and paper work difficulties. He did not enjoy how the entire transaction proceeded. As indicated by one of the commentators, Powur’s employed sales representatives sold them a product that did not function, and when issues ensued, no immediate solutions were given by the firm.

The One Positive:

• One customer praised Powur for delivering a seamless solar experience. They appreciated the outstanding pricing, good communication, and solid warranty. But they emphasized that having a good solar consultant makes all the difference in customer care.
