What Do Customers Say About the Pro Bid Energy?

Positive reviews:

“Unfortunately I did not initially go with Pro Bid Energy. I wish I had. The company I went with 3 years ago went out of business and my system had stopped working. I found Pro Bid Energy online and spoke with Danny. I explained to him my situation and he was very helpful to assist me in getting my solar system back up and running. He sent out his install team to troubleshoot my system and they resolved the issue in my inverter right away. I had been calling other companies for months trying to get someone to help me and Danny and Pro Bid Energy came to my house within 1 week of my initial call and resolved my issue on a system install by an out of business company. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering solar as their knowledge and patience to help fix my system was above and beyond what I expected. Thank you for helping fix my system!” – Ssweettooth68 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ March 25, 2023

“I have been wanted to add solar to our home for about 2 years now. I googled lots of companies in my area and had various sales people come out to our house to give us information on the best options for our home. Many of the companies initially looked into were setup out of state and ended up subcontracting the installation to local installers. I had heard some horror stories from neighbors who went this route and ended up with a very complicated process between the sales company and the actual install company. I found out through one neighbor that the install company that was subcontracted was actually Pro Bid Energy. We called them and they were very thorough in determining exactly what system size, panel type, and battery options we could consider based on our goal to provide some backup power if the grid went down. They provided us the best information and insight into the optimal system to meet our needs. Surprisingly, they were also slightly less than the other bids we had received. From the very start of our process all the way until the system was turned on with our Utility (about 4 months), Pro Bid Energy walked us through every step of the way and the installation was very professional and efficient. I would definitely recommend Pro Bid Energy to any Colorado homeowner looking to get a great deal and work with a local company.” – Dvandemark82 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ March 25, 2023

Positive reviews:

“I interviewed probably 7-8 different Solar Installers in Denver and Pro Bid Energy was my last interview. I was ready to stop interviewing Installers after about 6 of them I interviewed, but I’m glad I stuck with my last interview with Pro Bid Energy. They offered everything I was looking for in an Installer. They designed the panel layout and size to what I wanted .. capacity and location of panels. They offer a great payment schedule, and they routed all the electrical wiring through the inside of the house in a way that minimized exposed wiring. They did a 1st class job for a great price that was a better deal than everybody else that was a legitimate operation with good reviews. I would be happy to show their work at my house if you ask them.” – Great Solar in Marston Slopes ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ March 21, 2020

“We found out about Pro Bid through their main sales associate Tom B. We met with and researched 5 different solar companies before making the final decision to go with Pro Bid Energy. They were the best when it came to price, product for price, and timeline for install. We got to personally talk to, and work with, at least 4-5 members of their company and team during the process. The only hiccups we had were with the local power company here, and they walked us through every step, keeping in close contact through emails, calls, and tests throughout the whole process. Would highly recommend!” – Christina ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ November 15, 2019

Negative reviews:

“They install my system in August with little to no explanation of how or how is monitoring my system. I have a Solar Edge invertor and software application. For the app, I noticed that 2 of my solar panels are not generating any energy and I can’t see where any excess production is being put back on the grid. After talking to Solar Edge, I learn that Pro Bid is to be monitoring my system, that there are 2 panels not producing, there is an inventor error, and the system was not set up right. I have called Pro Edge for a week, their phone mailbox is full, and I cannot reach anyone. horrible customer service!” – David W. ⭐☆☆☆☆ October 26, 2022

“Jesse Stubbs (owner of Pro Bid Solar) is nothing but a scam artist. I had been working with a solar consultant to install a system on the roof of my business. I purchased 111 solar panels from Pro Bid, and soon after realized that I had been grossly overcharged for the panels based on the going rate of the exact same panels from other sources. I came to find out that he had a secret financial arrangement to pay my consultant a commission in return for advising me that I was getting the best price possible for the panels. Despite numerous attempts to contact him via phone and email, he refused to respond to me at all. Avoid him and his company at all cost.” – Grandma’s House Brewery ⭐☆☆☆☆ May 16, 2020

Positive reviews:

“Absolutely loved working with Pro Bid. They were extremely communicative, clear, professional, and timely. Every single person who I had a decent amount of contact with was wonderful, and I’d say that was at least 6 people. To give folks an idea of some other options out there, one of the other solar companies we considered didn’t even request information on or look into our regular electricity usage to determine how many panels would cover our needs, so their proposal would have covered somewhere around 70%. And they were quite rude when we didn’t go with them. Ridiculous. Pro Bid was fantastic start to finish—we’re very happy with our system and the education they provided about it. Highly recommend! Big thanks to Mark, Candy, Jacob, Kieler, and everyone.” – Whitney Raymer ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2025

“We got three proposals to install new solar panels on our house. Pro Bid Energy was very competitive and we were impressed with the quick and thorough response from Danny Glennon, our project manager. We are very happy we decided to use them. The entire process was seemless, from the contract to the application with the city and Xcel. Danny handled all the details and kept us informed of the progress being made. We heard the process could take awhile depending on the city permit and final inspection and the same with Xcel. From our first contact with Pro Bid on 9/26/23 to turning on our solar panels for production on 11/13/23, it only took 7 weeks which was excellent. The installation was completed in one day and the crew did a very good job. We would recommend Pro Bid Energy to anyone who wants to install solar panels. We are completely satisfied.” – Mary Mendoza ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2024

Negative reviews:

“Began working with this company through Rocky Mountain Solar Solutions May 2019. This is now November 6, 2019. After communicating with Danny Glennon and Jesse Stubbs we were excited to get going on having solar installed. Paperwork was completed. Site visit was completed by Vemco, an electrical contractor in our area and ready for installation. We had been in contact with Pro Bid about an upcoming vacation and wanted to make sure that installation was not during that week. Then it all fell apart. That was the only time the installer could do it and then there was no more communication. We reached out to Rocky Mountain Solar Solutions. They were able to find out from Pro Bid the solar panels were lost after being shipped. Then next excuse (via Rocky Mt. Solar Solutions) was the electrical company could not install until after potato harvest was over in our area. Still no communication from Pro Bid. Rocky Mountain Solar Solutions on our behalf cut ties with Pro Bid. This was end of August 2019. Question being how do you loose 27 solar panels and not communicate with your customer? Why do you not find someone to install a product when everything else is in place? Not sure we got the complete story from anyone. Never did hear back from Pro Bid. We still have no solar. No one seems to be able to follow through or service our area. The San Luis Valley in Colorado. Cannot recommend this company.” – C B ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2020

“Pro Bid Energy did some rewiring of my system back in October of 2023 because there was an issue with an Enphase Aggregator that was housed under my panels because that kept failing. I should have seen the red flags when I started working with Pro Bid as I constantly had to pursue Mark Kunkel to get answers or time frames about the job. Fast forward a few months and they complete the work and I think everything is good to go. But then, Half my panels go out and of course it’s a week or two before I realize it. So I reset the breaker and make the panels turn on again. That’s good it’s not to hard to fix but this pattern continues for 5-6 months where the panels would continually go out and I would need to reset the breaker. I finally realized that the pannels would go out every time we received precipitation. Anytime there was rain or snow, my panels would go out. So I emailed Mark, told him I believed something was exposed as my panels would stop working and the breaker would pop. Mark emails back, says that he has notified the owner and someone would get back to me. I wait a few weeks and no one responds. I then called, left a couple VM’s and messages with a receptionist. Still, No one responds. This goes on for a couple months with no one responding to the issue so I finally am able to get my brother, who’s an electrician, over to the house and sure enough, we find an exposed end of wires that were not capped. They sat there arching and melting anytime it rained or snowed. To this day, neither the owner of Pro Bid Jesse, or the business Development manager Mark, have gotten back to me in anyway. Even after I sent them photos and an email of the problem that we found, still no call or email So if you use Pro-bid, expect to struggle with communication or follow up. And hopefully your house doesn’t burn down from exposed arching wires somewhere under your panels… You’ve been warned.” – Mike Wandzek ⭐⭐☆☆☆ 2025
