“I’m writing this review almost 2 years after installation. Survey and design were straight forward and have proved to generate at or slightly more energy than promised. But everything isn’t ready yet, my HOA hasn’t approved it yet and what’s more, there isn’t anything on my roof yet. “Pure Energy was less than upfront when they sold us our solar system. They said they would take our panels down and store the panels when our roof needs repairs because of a hail storm. They did not mention there is a huge fee and no they do not store the panels. Our system currently has an issue. It is covered under warranty but thus far it has taken more than 6 weeks to just schedule the repair. We will see if the repairs are completed at that time. “This company has the worst communication. I paid for the solar in full and after paying a ton of money, months later my solar panels finally get activated and I find out my electric company has been getting free energy and charging me the same every month. Once they accepted my check, they never bothered to explain anything else to me. I had to leave a bad review for them to contact me and act like they were going to help with all of the issues I was still having getting the solar activated. They barely helped with one issue while I was still facing others and then again abandoned me. How they can treat their customers this way who pay tens of thousands of dollars is beyond reason. “I was skeptical about Pure Energy’s claims but am glad to be proven wrong. Their equipment installers were top notch and provided feedback on every step of the process. The thing that has really blown me away was the reduction to my power bill. In an average summer month, we were paying over $200, now we’re paying around $50. During the winter months our bill has dropped significantly. “PURE enforces quality control on all system installations, which means most installs are generally the same process. It can be repetitive at times, but for those who take pride in their work, this job is a great fit. Hours vary daily, with an average of 40-60 hour week. PURE offers an Electrical Apprenticeship upon hire. We have online classes pertaining to solar/electrical where we can progress our knowledge. PURE also offers panel pay, but you have to reach the criteria first, i.e. performance, and installs. If you’re with a great crew, you can tackle 2 installs a day, and rack up the extra money. There are also opportunities to expand within the company, such as battery install/backup. PURE has not established a 401k at this point in time, but does have Dental, Health, and Vision.
