Then once it got closer to install someone from finance was suppose to reachout to explain the different options, never happened. I called multiple times, and my sales rep . Matt said they are going to call. The system was installed in June, and I was told that we’ll be out to explain the system and make sure you understand how it works and app. We’re in September. Matt has stop taking my calls, I’ve called the office and get. Kyle will return your call., still haven’t spoken to him. And to think we were going to biy another battery. “Kyle Klingsiesen and Rack Solar have saved us from a system shutdown. Here’s a brief version of our “”journey.”” We purchased our solar system in 2022 from a company that went slowly out of business, and for an entire year we were in limbo. Finally, a company called Solar Edge picked up the pieces and we finally had our 25-year warranty back in place. Meanwhile we purchased battery backup because our power company simply was unreliable – and at the most inconvenient times. Shortly after we were finally happy with our system (2025) – the whole thing shut down. Our $70,000 system didn’t work. Enter Kyle and Rack Solar. Kyle contacted Solar Edge for us, and together with them, found that our Solar inverter had gone belly up. He asked them to replace the damaged parts for us. “Have a service agreement with Rack and when our generator failed during a power outage I tried to call for service for eight hours and could not get a real person. Each time I called I was shifted from one AI “”person”” to a second AI “”person””. Left messages explaining it was an emergency because my wife is handicapped. It is now one day later and I am still waiting for a return call. All I received was a one sentence email yesterday saying I would be contacted but nothing yet 24 hours later!!!!! In frustration I cold called a competitor and explained my emergency and they were at our home in an hour and a half and repaired our generator!! Rack is a disaster, likely having expanded too quickly, and their business is out of control. And I am by background a retired senior executive of a Top 100 Corporation, so I suspect my suspicion of too rapid growth and an out of control current situation is based on real life experience. “AFTER 16 MONTHS AND $20,000, MY GENERATOR FAILED THE MOMENT WE LOST POWER After paying over $20,000, my whole home Generac backup system did absolutely nothing when the power went out on November 21, 2025. We sat in complete darkness while the generator ran outside. Rack Electric was nowhere to be foundonly a chatbot named REMOVEDanswered the emergency line and tried to charge me $395 for an emergency response.This has been the culmination of an infuriating, incompetent, and dangerously unprofessional experience:Sold the job under 1 Stop Generator; Rack took over mid-project with zero continuity.Promised to handle HOA and permittingthen forced us to do it ourselves after cashing our check.Unexpectedly changed the generator brand from REMOVEDto Generac.Installation damaged our electrical system: house lights died and the spa motor had to be replaced. RACKs technician dismissed it as coincidence.Discovered a propane leak they had not identified and wanted to charge us $1,196 to fix it. REMOVEDrepaired it for far less.Left their company sign in our front yard for over a year. Ignored repeated requests to remove it.Sent identical were working on it automated emails for months while doing nothing and not responding to my REMOVEDelectrical inspection took 16 months. The only employee who showed any competence was praised to management; everyone else was indifferent or unreachable.When the first real outage hit REMOVEDcompletely abandoned us. “Jared Garner was the technician from Rack Electric to perform our maintenance inspection for our whole house generator. He was efficient, organized and appeared knowledgeable in all aspects. He was also extremely kind and considerate giving attention to our elderly 14 1/2 year-old chocolate lab Spenser and guarding as he went through our yard gates to protect our dog! Great Job! “It has been over a year from when I had my install. I will start with the bad first. It seems when they did the roof inspection, they identified that my flat roof was not in a condition to install the panels. No one showed me this report or even informed me of this. Yet they moved forward with the install and permits. On the day of the install, 4-5 months later, their installers made videos showing that they felt the roof was not in a condition to install on. They sent me videos of them ripping the paper off my flat roof, I assume they thought it was a good idea to make the condition worst then it already was. They informed me that I needed to act on this asap cause any delay on the install would result in fees I would when to cover. Then it rained two days later and I had water pouring into my home. This was not an issue prior to them getting in my roof and ripping paper up. I had to pay a company an emergency fee to do my flat roof. Rack reps told me that would be reimbursed for this cause they caused the damage. I never got anything from the company. In fact they never even apologized for never showing me the report they had months earlier, that would have at least prepared me for this expense. I spoke to one owner for a brief time. He assured me he would call me back and to date I have not received a call. I truly am disappointed in the way they conducted their business and preformed on my home. I also found out that they don’t follow the sugars for the install correctly. I had to bring this to their attention also. So if I didn’t tell them about the wrongfully install items they would have left it like that. Now I have cracked ceiling in my home and a ceiling that’s about to fall in my back patio. I also have damaged floors inside and walls. “Over a year ago, my wife and I made the mistake of contracting this company to set up our backup generator in my property. The generator has NEVER worked. At this point, technicians from Rack Electric have visited our property in 16 different occasions, and STILL the generator does not work. Calling this company is a waste of time. Every phone call was an opportunity for them to demonstrate an absolute lack of communication in between their departments. My permits are still open but about to expire. The generator in my property still not functioning, and after emailing directly with: Dillon Heath, Mandy Cabrera, Joel Aranzmendez and Jacqueline Vargas, I still have a non working generator in my property and no solution in sight. The only person in my thread of emails who actually has responded is Ms. Vargas, who referred my issue to the gas installation department on November 19th to no avail, because no one ever contacted me and yesterday December 2, 2025, I was referred to a Mr. Deonte Petersen who was supposed to contact me but went into a meeting (which i assume he’s still in) and has not been able to do what they promised they would do. Additionally, this company, by way of their technicians, has had the audacity, to repeatedly state that my generator is “”Working fine, but its not producing voltage””, which as a non-expert I believed was central to having a backup generator, but what do i know? I presume at this point I will likely have to involve attorneys to try and fix a situation this company created. Avoid at all costs.
