“Renu Solar has called me more than 40 times in the past month even though I’m on the federal Do Not Call list. They sometimes use the name American Solar on their solicitation calls, but the actual sales rep reveals it’s Renu Solar behind the calls. “I acquired my solar panels from RENU in December of last year. One of the nicest things about working with RENU is how simple it is to utilize their mobile app to see how much solar energy I create and consume. It’s easy to use and shows me how much energy I’m using right now. The technical support staff at RENU has also been helpful by addressing my queries and making sure that everything works well. This level of support has given me a lot of confidence in my investment. Since installation I have saved a lot of money on electricity and expect the system will pay itself up in a few years. I expect energy prices to increase, and I feel good having my solar system in place. “I had them install a new roof and solar on my home. While their sub-contractor was doing the roof, they backed into my garage door and damaged my siding. It took months to get reimbursed for the garage door, and the siding has never been repaired. Every time you call it’s a different person. “The statistics they use to pass out leads makes no sense. They give everything to the two best reps and very little to anyone else. And if you don’t sell right off the bat you get sent to the hard to sell appointments which makes the entire situation for you, even worse. Training was kind of a joke and don’t ask questions or you will get yelled at. “I thought it went awesome. 5 guys and one day to take off the old roof and put on the new. Looked good. Here is the issue. Right before they did my home, they did my daughters home. Her roof is leaking and they are trying to find all kinds of excuses as to why it is not their fault. Now I was having some work done on my guttering and the young man that was doing it found that there was also a leak in my roof. The porch roof that they replaced had water damage so bad that the underneath plywood was saturated and flaking apart. I had this roof put on in Oct 2017 and here it is May 2018 (not quite 6 months). A guy (Travis) came out to inspect and stated that the wood would dry out (WHAT?) Absolutely not…they are gonna have to replace it as mold can grow. He got up and calked where he thought it was leaking from. Well come to find they also never replaced the flashing around the chimney but used the old flashing. It seems that they really cut corners to make money and leave the consumers with inferior work and not what the consumer paid for. I spent slightly over 8 grand on a roof that leaked with in 6 months. My daughter spent over 7 grand for a roof that started leaking within weeks. She is in the process of getting two licensed contractors to come out and shoot down their excuses as to why it isn’t their fault that the roof is leaking.
