Positive reviews:
“Lon VomBaur and I are both military service veterans. I met him several years ago and was impressed by his ideas about extending the life of my roof. He is a man of integrity, mindful of the needs of his clients. I have enjoyed getting to know him and recommend him without reservation. Mark Holland.” – Mark Holland ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ March 2026
“I can’t say enough good things about Rock-Top Construction! We work with many GC’s and Lon, Melissa, Dave the entire crew at Rock-Top are phenomenal people. They truly care about their clients, and it shows in the work they do, and their communication. We always know our clients will be taken care of when we send them to Rock-Top! If you’re looking for a good GC in the Salt Lake valley I highly recommend Rock-Top!” – Darren Lunt ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ February 2026
Negative reviews:
“I paid Rocktop $4300 to repair and match the stucco on my two chimneys. They came out and repaired the stucco over the flashing but did not make any other repairs to the chimneys. I talked to Lon several times about them coming back out to finish the job but they never did. He eventually suggested that I talk to their subcontractor directly. I did and they still did not come back to finish the job. I got half of what I paid for and have been strung along for a year now. I would not use them again.” – Will Samsky ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2024
“Buyer beware, if you want to pay someone to learn on your property you have found the right place! I hired this company to do my roof this year and through the process of replacing my roof, I find out the following: This is one of the many do-it-yourselfer’s who think that their skills working around the home can translate into being a general contractor and being able to manage other contractors. They rely on the contractors that they hire for their expertise, but they themselves do not have any trade experience to know whether the contractors they hire are doing the job properly. It was not a pleasant experience having to babysit workers who were trying to cut corners every step of the way and the multitude of excuses provided by Lon trying to cover his lack of knowledge and the people he hired.” – Brett Billeter ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2023
