“It shouldn’t surprise me that this company has nearly all 5 star reviews, since they essentially bribe you with a $50 gift card to write one (and you don’t receive the gift card until after they confirm you left a nice review). Beware of this shady company, as they promise you things like a $500 referral bonus for each referred installation, but it turns out they can change their minds and send you half that amount (or however much they feel like, without any explanation) if they feel they sold that system for less money than they had hoped. When I called them out on this, they pretended to apologize and admit they were wrong and promised to send me a check for the other half. They keep their appointments, and do a good job communicating schedules and installations. We had Kevin, Gerry, Randy, and Reagan come and do our installation. “Recently I had new solar panels put on my new home by “Rooftop Power” Solar panel CompanyI was quite happy with everyone that I came into contact with along the way. Everyone let me know the next steps needed for the completion of the job. On the day of installation four shiny trucks pulled up with the “Rooftop Power” logo on each one. The crew was respectful of my property, minimal clean up inside and out was completed before they left, and completed installation for my house was around four hours. “Know what you are getting into before meeting with anyone and get multiple quotes. I had to take a class reagarding solar power for my work which is why I decided to go solar. I did not use this company. I got five quotes and they were the highest by far. They were $20,000 higher than the next highest quote I had. Also, their system they were offering was out of date and did not supply the power the other companies did. All my quotes were for 11,000 kWH where this company offered 9,000 kWH for more money. Their system had a string inverter so if one of one of your panels becomes inoperable, they all don’t work. The other companies offered micro-inverters on each panel so if one goes bad, the rest still work. Micro-inverters cost more but a certainly are worth it. Another reason their quote was crazy. When I sat down with their salesman, I told him exactly what I wanted and where the panels were to be placed. My house is L shaped and I did not want panels on part of the roof. When he showed me their plans, it had the panels running down the area I told him I do not want panels. It bothered me that he was very insistent that they be placed there. He wouldn’t listen to me. The installation crew consisting of ************************, ******************** and **** worked very well together, fully supporting each other and paying attention to details to get everything done correctly. They were, and should have been proud of their work. The company also set the standards by listing detailed verification requirements for each step of the installation that they all took seriously. A great benefit to the team as it helped them remember each detail to be completed. They only took until just after lunch for them to install and set up 18 panels and all the equipment needed for the full system, and the property was spotless when were done. “I feel like the biggest fool taken on the solar panels. I was very skeptical from the beginning. Rooftop Power lied to me and now Im stuck with a $70,000 loan. The panels do not cover the amount of electricity used, and on top of that I was told I was going to get a tax credit significant enough to cover the loan offset. In other words, if I dont pay $20,000 in 10 months my solar loan monthly payment will increase $120 per month. I do not recommend using Rooftop Power they come off very nice but are very unprofessional and scam professionals. Cheaper to just pay the utility bill. “SCAMMERS!!!! We put solar on our home and our rental property!! After 1 year our bill has gone up over $100 at each property because they lied to us!! I just found out they applied a “promotion” to our rental property and if we didn’t pay them $33,000 after the promotions ended our bill went up $100 month! We never agreed to that!! At our primary residence they said we were going to get a Jack back from our tax returns and we had to put it towards our loan payment and it would bring our payment down. They knew we were self-employed and they said we would be getting a check back from the government. We never got a check to put towards the loan amount and now that bill is up over $100 a month.
