“I had solar panels installed in November of 2023. Noah Rothschild was my contact person at Rx Sun. He was accessible through the process from beginning to end. I contacted him via email, phone call, and text. He was always responsive. He was also knowledgeable about the process. I had many questions and he was able to answer them so that I, as a lay person, could understand them. There were several companies working together to make the project happen, and Noah made clear how each company was involved. He explained timelines, financing, and tax credit expectations. I really appreciated his assistance with questions I had about the Illinois Shines contract which ensured that I received the state rebate. “Incompetent beyond belief. Unable and/or unwilling to answer basic, basic questions, and would not even reply to me until I followed up 2-3 times. It took over 150 emails across 6 months to get my 20 panel residential project installed. They were consistently unable to explain why my project was delayed and what the next step was. For example, my project was stuck with their Engineering team for weeks. But, they refused to either speak directly to their own engineers or to connect me with them, to figure out the issue. Turns out they just needed to measure a rafter. That’s it! Something like 20+ emails and 3-4 week delay, for that. Every step of the journey was like this – they measured the roof wrong, they didn’t collect all the info they needed on their site visits, etc etc etc. The panels are great, the hardware is great, and I love having Solar. “RxSun was late with everything they did. Despite me emailing them on a weekly basis, they forgot steps, they forgot parts, they forgot what they had promised (in writing!) to do. The system works, but it could use a load controller. RxSun told me I should have one, had me sign a change order to include it, and then forgot to include it in the design. The project that they originally said would be four months, turned out to take eight. “I worked through EnergySage to get quotes for solar on our single family house. RxSun came in with the best quote and we went with them. The process of having solar installed was easy and much faster than I had expected. We’ve had solar for ~4 months and the system is working well. Very satisfied with the service we received from RxSun. “Noah from RX Sun did a great job in designing and selling me on solar. I like to become an expert on things before I invest in them. So I probably asked a-lot more questions than the normal customer. Ultimately after reviewing multiple quotes and doing a-lot of research on my own of the proposed technology I chose RX Sun. I also chose RX Sun because they have their own in-house company to do the installations. I did not want to work with anyone who subcontracted the actual work. All the permitting and inspections were handled by RX Suns installer crew and I did not need to do anything. The installation went smoothly and they were very accommodating of my schedule for installation as my wife works nights and I could not have them on the roof during the day when she was trying to sleep. The install was very clean with no visible wire or conduit on the roof. This was a big concern because most of the systems in my neighborhood look terrible with a mess of conduit spaghetti running all over their roofs. Not my system, it looks great. “I loved rx sun at first. They did a great job with the quote and giving me all the information. Was told an instal date and that date was not met, which I know things can happen. Turns out the village lost the paperwork for our permit. I had emailed rx sun multiple times to get a check on the permit and even called the village myself. After we finally get the solar installed I wanted a quote for a consumption meter. I was told I would get a quote and have not heard back after months. I have sent multiple emails and nothing back. Disappointing when you spend thousands with a company and they can’t return an email. I am now wishing I went with the other company I had in mind for solar. August 30 update. After posting my review Jeremy reached out to me to make things right. He was extremely helpful and made me feel assured he would find out what happened and why I wasn’t getting a response.
