“Saguaro solar finished our solar installation today. The process has been very easy. They gave me a very competitive quote. The same company prepared my roof prior to solar, putting new sheeting under my tiles. In the meanwhile, they took care of all necessary permits and once the roofing was done the installers showed up and they did an awesome job. My electric panel is at the opposite site from my garage where the inverters are installed and the wiring needed to go via the attic, which proved very difficult. The install team did an awesome job and got it done very professionally! They were very respectful to our property. I would recommend Saguaro Solar to my friends and family anytime. “I had a solar system installed and it was turned on for the first time last week. On the second day one of the inverters did not come out of standby. I contacted maintenance and a team was sent out to investigate. The issue was diagnosed and repairs were made on the spot. After the repairs the out put of the system almost doubled. In March of 2023, after getting the runaround for months, we asked for and received our money back. While everyone at Saguaro was friendly to deal with they have, in my opinion, a staffing or management issue. Checked flat roof trusses to ensure type of truss was compatible with attachment system. Avoided all conflicts with roof penetrations. Listened to provide owner’s preferred orientation to bias production to afternoon. At Saguaro Solar’s cost, procured slightly more powerful panels to maintain project on schedule. All permits obtained as scheduled. Startup at 51 days following executed contract. Performance as specified, with no change orders required. “First- this process has taken a while- that being said, my system was definitely not standard, and between covid, supply chain, and design changes due to TEP requirements, we have had a lot of challenges. The company has stood behind there word, has helped at every corner to get things correct, and to get a system that is working as described originally. It was definitely patience on my side and on the installers side. Not only would I recommend them, but we are starting to set up project number 2 on my office. This was definitely a 1 star experience, that was turned into 5 star with good project management and communication from Samantha. “Watch Out! I have been trying for months for Saguaro Solar to complete the job that was already paid for. They keep saying they will come back and complete stuff but then silence. Bethany, the office manager, says she can’t do anything and to talk to Tim, the salesman. Tim says talk to Bethany or maybe come in and talk to the owners, ‘they’re nice’. I wish he would talk to the owners and get it done. They left this monstrosity of a structure which they said they would cover it and put a ‘nice awning’ over it. “The system spec’d out by Chris was supposed to produce over 80% of my requirements for electrical power, at that rate with a projected 6.5 year payback. The system is only producing approx 30% of my usage, leaving me still with expensive electric bills. At this rate payback may never occur or be well over 20 years, for a system I paid cash for. “I was surprised about how easy it all was. After the initial planning it kinda all just happened via emails and texts. All the staff I met were outstanding and happy to answer (and sometimes re-answer) my questions. “We have them two chances. On the first house, they sent out an inept installation crew that couldn’t get the panels even or conduit flush. Everything had to be redone, but the redo guy was so great it changed our opinion of the company. On the second house, it has taken over six months to get the job done and it still isn’t done yet. The first install attempt failed to pass inspection. There is no status on the second install and inspection attempt. The owner won’t return phone calls from frustrated customers- only those he’s trying to win business from. The company never gives you an update. You have to call anytime you want information. “Idk what others issues were but this company was amazing. Found em on accident on Yelp and wow! They took care of everything, i literally just signed papers via email and they did it all. Being in Phoenix Anthem we were kinda north but they are getting into the AZ area to serve more area. A friend is using them next. Oh and they do the calculations for how much you need to produce so you do not get a utility bill. First experience with solar and couldnt be happier! They even have an app to monitor the solar and its production! And everything is warranty for 20yrs so why not!!!! Christopher was awesome to work with. “Tim Vining lied to me, once you sign the contract, they will not answer your calls or e-mail you back. My first months bill was $95.00 with 22 panels, 9.68 kW system. I was told it would be around $12-20 a month. I even asked if i had enough power to off set my bill. My bill before solar was around $160-190 a month. MY home is 1750 sq ft. I tried to e-mail and text this company to see on how to remedy this, was willing to add to the system to help off set my bill. Their customer satisfaction sucks. needless to say, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. Be honest and upfront is all I ASK. Dont lie Tim…. I HAVE ALL THE texts to prove it. “This has been a frustrating six month process. The initial bidding and design experiences were great. Then came the reality of the installation. The installation process has been problematic. We also had failed inspections and damage we had to chase them to repair. We now have a 47 panel installation that has generated exactly 0 watts since installation. The micro inverters are measuring exactly half the output that is specified. However, getting someone to come out and fix the wiring issue that is causing this has been a nightmare. I’ve been repeatedly told this is normal, and that this will ‘self-correct’ within a few hours. After a few hours, I was told ‘within a few days’. If this was simply low operating voltage I might believe this. However, exactly half the voltage is clearly missing a leg. At this point, I really wish we had never contacted this company. “I compared several solar companies before I went with Saguaro Solar. All of the proposals were similar, however, Saguaro Solar spent more time with me explaining the proposal and letting me explore different options to understand the return on investment impacts. They were not a high pressure sales company and they perform the installation as promised. The time to produce clean energy was longer than they had anticipated at the start, but most of the delays were not in their control. “We are now making solar energy are are quite happy with that. However, our project did not start until February (2 weeks of that was because we were away early January) 8 months after we initially signed and paid the first installment. Then panels were placed on our porch roof instead of where they were supposed to go and had to be removed and replaced. The electrician did something wrong and had to come back and fix it (he told us it was his mistake) Our existing panels were shut off for over 2 months so now our TEP bill went from $55/month to $158/month.
