What Do Customers Say About the Solar Energy Partners?

energysage.com

Positive reviews:

“Energy Sage offers a short selection of firms as part of the service and I choose Solar Energy Partners (SEP). In the end, SEP’s self-assessments turned out to be bang right. In the course of my tough residential project I engaged with members of the SEP team at technical, administrative and executive levels and every one of these encounters was fruitful and beneficial. They were prompt, competent and sensitive to little difficulties and legitimate concerns. While other rivals could brag about their customer satisfaction focus, SEP really stood out with a unique, flexible approach to fixing challenges. Picking them made me appear a lot smarter than I am.” – Hmmtwilliams ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ March 25, 2026

“The entire process from when I awarded Solar Energy Partners the contract to when we went live with our solar solution was absolutely exceptional. The team was first rate and even during the unexpectedly stressful rush of the last year due to the expiration of the tax credits the team went above and beyond the call of duty and drove our project down the field and across the goal line before the end of the year so that we were able to take full advantage of the tax credits. They were not the most inexpensive vendor, but I had a sense they were committed to excellence and could be trusted . My intuition proved to be spot on. In addition, all of the components, including the two node Franklin lithium battery array, are made in America, annd are all working flawlessly. Even now in the shortest days of the year less than a month out from the winter solstice, we are able to utilize the system for approximately 20% per day of our normal Electric needs. Finally, the flexible system design and configuration also facilitates a turnkey disaster recovery solution where 20% of the battery array is always kept full in case of power failures. This has already been tested in real time with a 30 minute power failure earlier this winter. We didn’t even notice that the power was out everywhere else in the neighborhood. Peace of mind is a hard thing to put a price on, but if that’s what your objective is with respect to incorporating alternative sources of energy into your home then I highly recommend you seriously consider Solar Energy Partners. They back up what they sell with substance, integrity and excellence.” – Jwratliff49 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ January 14, 2026

Negative reviews:

“I signed a solar agreement with Solar Energy Partners in July and paid over $11,000 in early September. From the moment payment was made, I was repeatedly assured everything was on schedule. That was not true. The critical failure that destroyed this project is simple and fully documented: Solar Energy Partners did not submit my project to the roofing company for nearly two months after my contract was signed. This was not due to weather, permitting, or any external factor. It was pure internal oversight. The project should have been sent to the roofer the following week. Instead, they delayed almost two full months before securing any roofing slot. Because of that delay: • The roofer eventually withdrew • My ability to complete the project this year was destroyed • I lost the ability to qualify for the 30% federal tax credit, which was a central part of the sales pitch • And the entire timeline collapsed Solar Energy Partners now claims in their response that “engineering, permitting, and design were completed on schedule.” That misses the point entirely. None of that matters if you fail to secure the roofer for two months. Without a roof, nothing else can proceed. That was their responsibility, and they failed. They also claim they offered “alternative roofing options.” While technically true, those options were: • 30% to 40% more expensive, and • None could guarantee completion this year, which was the entire purpose of doing this project now From the beginning, I was clearly told that if the project could not be completed in time, I would receive all my money back. On December 1, their own project manager offered me a full refund in writing. Despite that, the company later attempted to impose a penalty fee even though: • No roof was installed • No solar was installed • And the project failed entirely due to their internal failure to act on time I am now having to pursue legal action simply to recover my own money. Every statement in this review is documented in writing. Emails, invoices, and refunds offers all exist in black and white. This was not a misunderstanding. It was a complete failure of internal project management and accountability. I would not recommend this company under any circumstances.” – Skyadal27 ⭐☆☆☆☆ December 6, 2025

Positive reviews:

“I worked with Solar Energy Partners (SEP) last year to take advantage of the last year of the federal program. I had a couple other vendors approach me as well and chose SEP since three other houses on my block used them and had glowing reviews of them coupled with how they approached the sales process vs. their competitors. My sales person, Jared Wells, is very knowledgeable when it comes to solar and breaks down the process in a very straightforward way that respects your concerns and reasons for going solar. He provided options to me that I then took and leveraged to do my own analysis of my energy cost consumption data. I actually added more panels than he suggested based my own analysis. Basically, it was a constructive conversation to get the right installation in place vs. feeling like they would be adding more than needed to maximize profit. The installation process was clearly defined, managed, and delivered with SEP helping all along the way. I have had solar now for almost a year and my bills are an order of magnitude cheaper thanks to SEP.” – Gabriel Morales ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ March 2026

“We hired this firm mainly because certain neighbors recommended them and now I see why. The whole procedure was well organised from start to finish. The consultant was very transparent on the finance and did not push us to buy any equipment that we did not require. Our roof plan was a bit challenging so it took three days to install but the team was professional the entire time. One morning they were even kind enough to wait while I pulled automobiles out of the driveway before unloading items. We did had one little problem with the monitoring app not synchronizing properly within the first week but support got it repaired the following day. The panels really look nicer on the roof than I thought, and having decreased electricity costs each month has been absolutely satisfying.” – Adolfo Ponce ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ March 2026

Negative reviews:

“I received an email from this company right after hurricane Helene on 10/2. I find it absolutely sick and disgusting that they would attempt to use the Helene tragedy so quickly to scare people of a future event. Their add mentions “Impacted from Power Outages from Hurricane Helene?” Whomever thought it was ok to send an ad out like this is insensitive to current events and the company should be helping not trying to profit off a tragedy. I get it’s a business but don’t use an event that killed so many. If anything people need propane or natural gas generators; not solar in situations like this. If I ever think of solar power for my house this company just moved to the bottom of the lists. Always remember this company attempts to profit off tragedies before you sign any contracts.” – Stewart Fischer ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2025

“They sure talk a good game and I bought it completely. They installed a 7.5 kw system that rarely works as advertised. First, my inverter wouldn’t even work (it’s a Tesla which I’ve found are not reliable). Then there was a lot of finger pointing as to who should fix the problem. After some rather direct phone messages, someone was sent out to get it working. Ok, now I have a working system – from October 2025 until Apr 22, 2026. During that time, output was sporadic rarely getting over 3 kw peak output. So they sent more people out to work on my system again. After a week plus, on May 19th they were able to get one string working. They had to order some replacement parts (from Tesla of course). About 2 weeks later they installed the replacement parts and and output improved to 4+ kw peak and 34 kw-hrs for a couple of days. However, now output has decreased to 2kw peak and 15 kw-hrs or less even on cloudless days. I haven’t seen any real effect on my power bill and the system still doesn’t output anywhere near what I was told it would. To say I’m not a satisfied customer is an understatement. I’ll post an update if there is any change to this situation – positive or negative.” – Curt Rapp ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ March 27, 2026
