They worked with me to use premium Panasonic HIT 330 panels, yet stayed within the state average cost per kilowatt for the system. I was impressed that they got the job done within the allotted time frame even though I was travelling and hard to reach for much of the time. The installation crew put all the panels up in a day and did an excellent and neat job. “Contracted with Solar King to do a large residential project at my home in Chelsea, Michigan. Don King was very helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable. He installed a 20 KW system, on the ground, which encompassed 58 panels and two inverters. Don and his team did a great job installing the system, and monitoring the system remotely to determine if any issues occur. Don picked up on a bad part impacting one of the panels, and came out to replace the part without being called. Great service. March 2025 Please read full Review…When I first spoke to Don I was very apprehensive as I did not know him or his solar panel installation company. 6 years later well to put simply today 3/25/25, spoke with the owner after several attempted calls. When he called me he told me he is retire and this company was no more and he couldn’t help me with a repair on panels that he installed. He told me to call ‘climax solar’. “Solar King installed our solar panels about 4 yrs ago. To date, the panels work well and it is convenient to track usage via app. Lots of money saved. However, the installation was a bumpy process. They sub-contract the electrician work. The electrician was extremely unreliable, e.g., he would say he’d arrive in a time range, arrive 3hrs later or not at all with no call and lots of excuses. He was very disrespectful and unprofessional. When the work was inspected after it was completed(as required by law), he had to come out again to fix it. He complained the entire time, blaming the inspector for being petty. We let our main contact at Solar King know, but he did nothing to improve the situation.
