A representative was on hand for all inspections, showed me how to use the monitoring dashboard, and even followed up when they noticed my energy use was abnormal. “Brian from SolarMe spent extremely generous amounts of time answering my many questions both in person and by phone and email, and continues to answer questions post-install. “One of the microinverters on my system is clearly underperforming — producing about half the energy of the others — and the monitoring system itself indicated it was likely not installed correctly from the start. The manufacturer honored the warranty and sent a replacement unit at no cost, confirming a legitimate defect. Despite this, the company has refused to come out and install the replacement. Communication has been poor — representatives have been dismissive, I was hung up on at one point, and calls have since gone unanswered. I was told this decision came directly from the owner. “Happy with the roof and panels — our monthly payment is only slightly more than our old electric bill and we now pay just $8/month in service fees. However, we were not given a heads-up that we should consider changing our anniversary date with the electric company away from August, which caused accrued credits to expire during peak AC use.
