“I am so grateful to have found Solar-Ray to take care of my solar needs. I was already dealing with Tesla solar when I looked at there reviews. I completely did a 360. I thought to myself, I will be dealing with this company for the next 20 to 30 years. So I did research and looked at reviews and found this Gem. They really do care about there customers, from the salesperson (Dennis) to the installers, to the owner. Oh and lets not forget the ladies in the office. Everyone is pleasant to work with and my installation went through without a hitch. My panels were up in 2 weeks. Then we just had to wait for the inspections. Solar -Ray has no control over that. What they do have control of is the quality of their work, and because it was perfect, the inspections went through with flying colors. “I decided to go with Solar Ray to install my solar panels due to the longevity in business thinking that this meant they offered great service. Well, I was wrong. I had an issue with one of the inverters not working. I have tried reaching them by email, phone, facebook, even text, and nothing for over 3 weeks. They have not responded other than in text telling me that they will review my issue and get back to me. Still nothing. 3 weeks of no production. I even called the manufacturer of the inverter myself and created a ‘ticket’ which I forwarded to Solar Ray. Still no response. SMA checked my system remotely and mentioned that it wasn’t the inverter as it checked out and that it had to do with the install. I had to hire someone to check my system and effectively something in the system burnt out. I would recommend not going with Solar Ray ever because while they are responsive when they sell the system, you get nothing for service when things go wrong even though they mentioned that this was where they excelled. “They do not have any costumer support, terrible service, I strongly advise to not buy from this company. After 3 years of my system operating it stop working, I contact them they send a third party technician that charged $320 and did not fix the system. The worst problem was that they took 4 months (without my system working properly ) to answer my call. During this period I left more than 40 calls and several email, never answered. Finally after 4 months they came down to check my system and the conclusion was the fault was the electricity provider that was kicking off my system and they could not fix. I suspected because several house in my street have solar power and they were working fine. I called another company and 15 minutes of troubleshooting they discovered my system has a faulty circuity breaker, in 5 minutes it was fixed. That is the level of customer service. “Amazing experience start to finish. Everything went almost as scheduled and Solar Ray made changes to accommodate the install when we ran into issues. Every problem we ran into was a minor issue. Without asking for a solution they were on top of it and always went above and beyond to resolve the hiccups. I can’t say enough good about this company and the employees that work for Solar Ray. I shopped 4 different companies. Solar Ray was right in the middle price wise, but was the only company that came out to survey my home. Solar Ray identified issues with trees in my neighbors yard that the other companies did not. All companies wanted to do it over the phone and not take the extra time to do a thorough job with a site visit. “I was one of Solar-Ray’s first customers almost 10 years ago and was told I had a 10 year equipment warranty on the system they installed. I started experiencing issues with my system about a year and a half ago and I cannot even get them to return my calls or texts. I tried more than 25 times with no luck. Their receptionist will answer the phone and tells you someone will call you right back, but no one ever does. My system continues to fail and they have no interest in helping me fix it. It is hard for me to accept that I was actually a reference for this company years ago. If you ask me today I would recommend staying away from this company and the products they sell, unless you would like a very expensive decoration on your roof. “A typical day at work is unpredictable. You could be sorting in an area, boxing or scanning in things and they’d need your help somewhere else. I learned how to drive a forklift very well because of the tight areas. The management is confusing, I never knew where I was going. The hardest part of the job is the heat and constant change/stress. The workers are nice people overall and there are breaks every 2 hours. “He did the work for about half of what others quoted. He isn’t the best on the phone and you have to be persistent in calling him but the work he does is wonderful. Once he starts the project, he follows it through to completion even to ensure I received government rebates. He also worked with my local utility companies to get me the carbon credit and net metering He was even able to work in conjunction with my roofing company to ensure everything was done correctly. “My experience with Solar Ray was a nightmare. I decided to go solar and quoted several companies, Solar Ray was right in the middle, but I decided to go with them because they are a local business here in Orlando, FL. What a huge mistake? everything was great throughout the selling and installation process, but my nightmare started last December when one on my inverters failed and stop working, tried to contact them, leaving voicemails for days and nobody got back to me. Finally, after a month of chasing them down in January they decided to stop by the house and check my inverter, came in, saw the inverter and both Mike and Alex agreed that the inverter failed and under warranty had to be replaced, charged me with a service call of $300.00 and left. After 3 or 4 months! of me following up to get an update, they tell me that the damage now was caused by a lightning and is not covered by the warranty and gave me 2 options, one of $3,000.00 and the other for $4,000.00” – Michael L. ⭐☆☆☆☆ November 2025

“Horrible after sale service. After I had a error code on my inverter for a week, I tried contacting Solar Ray for service. I tried calling them, emailing them, texting them, left voicemails, facebook and nothing. I called SMA myself, created a ticket, forwarded the info to them and i got a text saying that they will check it out ‘tomorrow and get back to me’. They haven’t gotten back to me and I had to hire someone else to look at it. According to SMA it was an installation error which is probably why they decided to never get back to me.
