“It takes a lot to heat a pool in the spring and fall! I probably get one more month on each end of the season. But what is really cool, literally, is the cooling effect by running the system at night instead of during the day, in the hottest summer months. Bottom line – I can regulate the temperature of the pool from May 1 through Oct 15. The electronic solar control is crucial to have. Solar services installed the whole system in two days, retrofitting my existing circulation/filter system efficiently and effectively. “We had Solar Services give us the only quote we could get in our area, and they came in where we expected price-wise. After working out the installation plans with our HOA (and buying more expensive panels to make the HOA happy), we were ready to begin. And then it rained. And rained. But finally we got our panels installed and inspected, and were able to turn it on yesterday! Solar Services was just an email or phone call away the whole process, and even came out to talk to the HOA and answer questions about the aesthetics of the system, potential problems, etc. Will and Matt are some of the nicest guys possible as the sales team. The two “4 star” review sections below are because we were originally going to get a 24-panel system, but when we upgraded to all black Solaria panels, they wouldn’t fit on our roof 8-across. It took until after we had already paid the deposit for them to notice, so we dropped from the 8.6kW system we expected to 7.5. Scheduling the install was another sticking point, but mostly not their fault. There was a ton of rain and they had to find a time that was sunny that still meshed with other installs. They were transparent about the process, but it still took longer than I would have liked. “Made appointment, the day they gave me for appt., i was out of town. The office said ok, i will take you off the schedule. Then later office said i owe $100 for the estimate that they did anyway. After stating i was not happy, she stated she will split the bill which was $50 because it was her word against mine and then charged me a late charge that was not necessary. “First of all, 1 star is 2 stars too generous, there needs to be a negative star rating. I just called their emergency number because my ac unit went completely dead. Its 89 degrees in my house right now(according to my indoor thermostats), and I have little kids and animals that live here. I called my home warranty group and they gave me a claim number and Solar Services number. I called and immediately was yelled at. He asked if I was another home warranty person and when I said yes, he yelled at me saying “Why do they keep doing this!” He then yelled at me to call my warranty company and tell them they are not taking anymore calls. And then proceeds to hang up. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. I would never consider this company, and suggest others don’t as well. “Multiple problems with my roof leaking. Never been the same since. I also have a neighbor down the road who has had the same issue from their install and other problems.
