“Dave Watt put on a great sales pitch and I went for his quote because I liked what he had to say and he seemed well intentioned, but, since he sold his company a few years back, the 25 year promised warranty went along with it. “We worked with Solar Watt Solutions (SWS) in the past (2015) with great results, however in our recent 2021 / 2022 project that included the installation of battery back up (BBU), the same company, now wholly owned by Cleanspark, did a very poor job. Once the equipment was received, Cleanspark / SWS scheduled a subcontractor unfamiliar with the wiring schematics and local bldg. dept. requirements. As a result, the system never worked. The second contractor disassembled and re-installed the BBU, it worked, but had to be redone due to requirements of the local bldg. authority. Finally, the third contractor came out, was familiar with the system, local bldg. requirements and the project was effectively completed. In the end, after two botched installations, lots of time taken away from my business to accommodate and impact on our home / lives, this company did a very poor job – all things considered. “In 2015 we interviewed four (4) solar companies to give us estimates on a ground mount system that would be designed to produce as much energy as we had historically used annually (on average for the previous 5 years). David Watt of Solar Watt Solutions was the only company that answered every question we had on site and who could design a system for our specific needs / wants and flexibility to add to in the future. Most companies send “sales staff” out to give quotes, but when they are asked technical questions related to the investment you are about to make they (strictly sales people) defer to having to ask someone else, which was highly undesirable and less than ideal for building confidence when wanting to achieve the shortest return on your investment (ROI). “In October 2020, I signed a contract with Solar Watt Solutions to purchase and install 3 Tesla Powerwall batteries. It is April 2023 already and Solar Watt Solutions a.k.a Cleanspark a.k.a Multitaskr have not delivered on the contract criteria yet and my SGIP approval is expiring. The corporate tagline is “Honesty Guaranteed” however the owner Dave Watt is dishonest and deceptive. You can only count on a poor experience with this firm. Mr. Watt dragged me along for months with the story that Tesla was having supply chain difficulties, when in fact, Mr. Watt was discussing terms with Cleanspark to sell his firm and pay out.
