“I had already used SolarCraft to install a pool solar heating unit. The company gives excellent service and support, responds promptly to inquiries, and was prompt and efficient during the installation process.” – Katherine Crank ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ November 6, 2007

“A great experience and we`re thrilled with the results. Have already recommended SolarCraft to several friends and family.” – Rob and Susie Terry ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ November 17, 2008

yelp.com

Positive reviews:

“We chose SolarCraft as Darren, one of the partners, suggested the equipment that we wanted, and the overall cost was less than expected, and less than the other quotes we had received. We were both really happy with the level of workmanship, both in removing the old furnace/AC and installing the new heat pump. The guys (Ray and Eli) were fast, clean, smart, helpful, and one couldn’t ask for a better experience. Our furnace room is now a clean work of industrial art. Love it!” – Ed B. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ January 8, 2026

“I love working with SolarCraft – they did my solar panels and heat pump. They know their business and use high quality products. They’re speedy, attentive, friendly, and it’s consistently a positive experience.” – Marilyn G. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ December 19, 2025

Negative reviews:

“SolarCraft sold me a residential solar system in February of 2016 and claimed that the payback period would be 7-8 years. Here we are in 2023 and I’m paying huge “”true up”” costs to PG&E (over $2000). My system may never pay for itself.I’ve tried several times to contact the company to see if they can help. I was disappointed to find out that they can’t add more panels because the inverter won’t accept more. The person who sold me the system is no longer with the company.” – S K. ⭐☆☆☆☆ January 8, 2024

“I can’t get these guys to call me back. I’d love to be able to actually give them money to do a job and then review their product, but their sales/customer support team doesn’t seem to be interested in my project.” – R P. ⭐☆☆☆☆ May 12, 2017

angi.com

Positive reviews:

“SolarCraft was easy to work with and schedule. Their tech came out once to assess the inverter problem & they handled communication with the inverter manufacturer support rep. A replacement inverter was shipped out to SolarCraft, and a second appointment set up for another tech to install the new replacement inverter covered under my warranty. SolarCraft only charged me for the 2 service calls. Very reasonable, their techs were very personable and knew their stuff. Excellent customer service.” – Jon B. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ April 2017

“Zach Schlabach was extremely helpful and flexible, as well as being highly responsive. He provided quotes on removing and reinstalling the system from 2002, as well as providing a quote to upgrade the system, bring it up to new codes and make it more efficient. We elected to go with the updated system. He was extremely responsive and helpful, coordinating with the roofing contractor, returning multiple phone calls and emails promptly and making sure all the work was done as quoted while we were away. He was a pleasure to work with!” – Lawrence G. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ April 2016

Negative reviews:

“They did a great job with the installation, but a week later it started leaking. A year later is was leaking like crazy from 3 different places. When they came out they tried to charge me for things I had fixed myself. They did replace it and they charged me for it. There were also wiring problems but I’m an electrician so I fixed it myself. I told them about it so when they came out the guy didn’t do anything and then charged me for it anyway. I called the company to tell them I fixed it myself and asked why he was charging me for it. They apologized and said they’d take it off the bill, but that’s pretty unethical. They charge in 15 minute increments, the first 15 minutes is $75. They tried to charge me $175 but we negotiated. I have to trust him that they are doing an honest job, I had someone working up on the roof who let me know it was leaking. I think they need to be straight forward about the warranty. They told me I had a 5 year warranty, but I didn’t read the fine print and apparently it’s not on the work. I have to call and ask them what the warranty is on. If you call them out it takes them 2 weeks to get out here.” – Daniel M. ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ January 2011

Positive reviews:

“I decided to install solar last spring and noticed SolarCraft was working at my neighbor’s house. He recommended them highly, mentioning that his sales rep even helped him find a roofer before the solar install could start.Taylor was my sales rep and he made a great first impression. He was knowledgeable as well as personable and walked me through the process to know what to expect. When the install was running late, all of a sudden I was on the schedule!!The install went very well, and the guys on the job were efficient and considerate. PG&E was slammed with all the projects going through, and created their own delays, but the team at SolarCraft did their best to keep things on track.Recently Taylor reached out to explain the summer settings and how to navigate the app etc. He also offered to be available going forward if necessary. This after-sales support is rare these days and I greatly appreciated it.I’m glad I chose SolarCraft and hope you will consider them for your project as well.” – Nancy ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ March 2026

“SolarCraft is a stable, reliable firm established on a strong basis of workmanship, ethics and long term devotion. SolarCraft is unique as an employee-owned and run business in the pride, responsibility and care its team takes to every project. It’s because the individuals performing the job are personally engaged in the company’s success. That ownership approach translates into consistently high quality, deliberate decisions and a real care for consumers and communities. SolarCraft is a firm created to stay with a stable business and seasoned employees that are determined to make a difference. You can trust us to be your partner.” – Maddy Arteaga ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ December 2025

Negative reviews:

“I’m not sure that I would recommend this company!I believe your Word and Follow through is everything when own a business especially an employee owned business.Contracts are meant to protect a business not the consumer. And now we have a $52,000 broken down system.Websites like these are genius they are one of the last lines of defense for consumers.Next stop CSLB (California State Licensing Board)” – Patrick Cadigan ⭐☆☆☆☆ February 2026

“When hiring SolarCraft, be aware that they do not offer any warranty on any of the equipment such as the panels and inverter they are selling you. There is a manufacturer warranty on those items, but it is essentially a non-existent warranty, because in order to claim it, you would need to spend thousands of dollars first with SolarCraft to produce the proof to the manufacturer that the panels are actually defective. As a customer there is no way you can produce those measurements on your own. The only option you have at that point is to purchase new equipment – on your own dime and being charged full cost for installation by SolarCraft! In the beginning of a solar install everything seems fine – until and when something goes wrong with any of your equipment!” – Maria Rohner Storniolo ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2023
