Solaron review

Solaron gets the Average Performer badge and works in 1 state, but their third-party ratings don't go above 4. Local community trust isn't their strong suit either - their score is 3.9 in our evaluation. This badge means they are somehow reliable, but you need to pay more attention to what they have to offer. While Solaron may not lead the pack, they are certainly recognized for their capacity to meet a broad range of solar installation needs with commendable customer satisfaction. When considering this solar installer, you can add Solaron to your list as a lower priority and one that requires additional research before you decide to work with them.

What do Customers Say about the Solaron?

yelp.com

Positive reviews:

“Each year I use Jose at Solaron to bring up my solar for the summer and take it down for the winter. I specifically request Jose because he is so very customer service oriented. He is always on time, friendly to us and* our dogs, and he is patient and happy to explain to me parts of the process that I don’t understand. He never acts like he’s rushed, even though his work is so seasonal that I know he has customers chomping at the bit for their turn. He knows what he’s doing, he’s efficient, and he goes the extra mile. More than once, he has noticed that the equipment was leaking in a separate part of the system that didn’t have anything to do with the solar. Nevertheless, he insisted on fixing the leak, saving me from having to get a separate repairman out here. If you need to add Solar to your pool, or get it ready for the changing season, call Jose @ 916-260-3112. I guarantee you will be happy that you did.” – Shelley M. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ April 18, 2024

“This is the second pool that we have had heated by Solaron. The reason is simple. They use the best equipment (Heliocoil) and have an expert crew to install it. Russ responded right away to our phone call and was out to survey our pool and lot within the week. He understands the science that makes the system work and gave us a competitive bid. The install crew was right on time and very efficient. Mike is very knowledgeable and explained to us how to operate the pool and heater in simple terms. I would highly recommend Solaron to anyone considering adding heat to their pool.” – Rose-Lloyd S. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ March 31, 2021

Negative reviews:

“Seriously reconsider using this company if you expect callbacks and a standard level of service or communication. Not only do they hardly return phone calls or messages, but they also have extended wait times for installations. Their sales rep (Wade) is flakey and unapologetic for their poor communication. It took him months to even schedule an estimate with me, which placed me into their “busy season.” Although there are few companies in this space, consider looking at Suntrek Solar if you are in their service area. Their rep actually returns calls and keeps commitments.” – Mike M. ⭐☆☆☆☆ April 18, 2024

“Had SOLARON pool solar installed 3 years ago. They did a great job. Had a leak a couple months ago & came out and fixed (fixed within the week). Now we’re having issues with temperature of water & system coming on at odd hours. Called a few weeks ago & the first appointment available was last Monday. Did anyone show up or even call???!! No. We called them about 10x before we got someone to respond & rescheduled appointment for today. The office is closed so if no one shows up, we have to wait for Monday to call them-AGAIN. I realize companies are short-staffed but having horrible customer service, no excuse! Not calling people back for days & days, no excuse. Not showing up and not telling the homeowner (30 second call), no excuse. I have had many friends ask which company we used. I will NOT be referring SOLARON. Very disappointed with lack of communication and customer service.” – Yvonne A. ⭐☆☆☆☆ July 14, 2023

Positive reviews:

“We like their professionalism. They were willing to work with us. They answered all of our questions and the job looks very professional. They had a minor mishap and they reported it right away and they took care of it. I’m very pleased with their work.” – Stephen D. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ October 2013

“They were awesome. They showed up on time, gave a great presentation and offered various samples to choose from. Another thing that I liked about them was that they gave me a 10 percent discount to sign with them.” – JOYCE W. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ September 2007

Negative reviews:

“I called Solaron by mistake. I thought it was the company my sister in law used. She told me she forgot and it wasn’t the company she used. Thnx. They installed the system when we were away on vacation. When we came back, we noticed right a way that the system makes an horrible sound when the system shuts down. I called Solaron and they sent out their technician, and their technician said that was how it was and that is normal! I was gullible and took their word. Then I called them back to do something about the noise and the way the pipes would vibrate and cause the brackets to damage our stucco. The technician came and said they would try to remove a ball bearing from a part to try to quiet the system. The moron tech strips the screws head and so he had to return with special equipment to unscrew the part he wanted to work on! End of the day he still couldn’t fix the problem! After a couple of chances and visits, I think this technician and this company is just horrible and they are doing this on purpose. I was thinking about suing them.. I called Aztec solar instead to fix the problem. Aztec came and fixed the problem and reattached the brackets in one day. Solaron should rename their company Solarmoron.” – Sang T. ⭐☆☆☆☆ March 2015

Positive reviews:

“Solaron is the BEST company for service, price, and responsive communication. We have lobed our extended pool season and Jose and Tyler always go above and beyond by resetting my pool pump time twice a year. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!” – Patrick McMahan ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ November 2024

“Needed to replace old pool solar (Fafco)… got quotes from every company in the area… Solaron is head and shoulders above their competitors… in both product (Heliocoil) and people… Russ Hansen is awesome… very detail oriented and responsive… delivered all that he said he would… including an install date that worked with my schedule. Can’t say enough positive things about this company.” – Brian Savage ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ November 2021

Negative reviews:

“I recently purchased a house that has Solaron Solar Panels, my seller paid off the system but they lost the monitoring device. It’s been almost six months and series of communications but till date I could not manage to get the device. The company is only interested about selling new units and have no time to serve the existing users!!! My seller paid 30k to buy out but the company is not helping me to get the system back on service, they are too busy and severely understaffed!!! The customer reps are amazing but their so called TEAM is too busy for last few months. All I wanted from them were to give me a device and get it installed, unbelievable!!!!! Such a cheap and unproffessional attitude toward a paid off client!” – Hasan Rahman ⭐☆☆☆☆ November 2024

“Every year when it is time to turn on and also when it is time to turn off our pool solar, I end up getting very loud gurgling noises coming from the pipes and from the solar part of the pool equipment for months. It makes it difficult for my wife and I to sleep because it is right next to our bedroom. I tell them this and they seem to think I’m lying, but it has seriously impacted our daily lives and it’s something I dread having to attempt to ignore when it comes time to going to sleep. I call to get a service and they dont answer calls. Their system is that you leave a message and they call you back within a week if you are lucky. And you better answer that call or else it’s going to be an endless loop of back and forth. And then if you finally do get an answer, they are under staffed and will take forever to do a service. They have attempted to fix it twice and it only helps for a few weeks and comes back. The noise just started again for the 4th year in a row and I’m going to call again this week when they open back up and I hope they can finally fix it.” – Jere Sanc ⭐☆☆☆☆ November 2024
