After being contacted by Sun Power in September 2022, it took a very long time for Sun Power to approve the warranty replacement project for new solar panels. However, in May 2023 when Robert Suggs and Ashley Shuler got involved, they were able to expedite the approval process for completing this project. “Regrettably I contacted SCS when I suspected that my inverter needed replacement. After 4 months of poor communications and a $250 technician visit who assured me that the inverter was functioning I took maters into my own hands and contacted SunPower directly. I was connected to another local service company who did an on site assessment, confirmed that a new inverter needed, ordered and installed the new inverter in a total of about 3-4 weeks.SCS did not communicate with me for 3 months and when I informed them of how things were eventually fixed they claimed that they couldn’t find a replacement inverter other than one that would cost approximately $6000 including installation. FYI my total cost was $1855 including the required assessment and installation. I’ve seen positive reviews regarding sales and installation. You can do your own research if you want, but after considerable time spent looking into solar panels, the SunPower panels are by far the best in performance, longevity and you cannot beat the warranty. My first Entergy bill after a full month of solar was $8.55. My only regret is not doing it sooner. “The solar panels were installed, I was informed they were working under the state deadline to get as many customers before July 1 st 2015 as possible and they would get back to the service upgrade after that. I had already paid for this service. In February 2016 I contacted them about the service upgrade. They sent a technician unannounced at 7:30 AM as I was leaving for the airport and I could not accommodate him. They made no attempt to reschedule. After numerous phone calls that were not returned we finally got someone to agree to come out and scope the job out. This was strange as I had provide them with photographs and allowed them to inspect the service when the contract was initiated. That afternoon I was engaged in a call with 3 people from South Coast Solar on their end giving me a barrage of reasons why they could not do the job for the price they had quoted. They offered a refund of my money or if they could re-use some existing equipment they would do it for the original quote if I picked up the expense of new breakers that would be required. I initially agreed but after consideration I requested a refund and was told it would be sent out that day. That was June 30 2016 and it is now July 11th and still no refund.
