“My sales rep was Sarena Piso — she walked me through the process and kept in contact until Tiffany Ocean was assigned as my project support lead. Even then she answered my calls. Tiffany kept me in the loop on every detail of my installation, even when things stalled for a few days. Both kept me well informed and made me feel like a priority. Matt and Wayne were the electricians who installed my new meter and breaker boxes and I wanted to mention them for their professionalism — they left my property as clean as when they arrived and answered all my questions. “They messed up my contract 3 times by listing the wrong electric company. I inquired about snow clips in October — the panels were designed to go over my front entry and garage and I drive a convertible with toddler grandkids — yet they installed without the clips and never even mentioned them as an option. The installers put the solar connection into my fusebox without an electrical inspection, and the city inspector stated my fusebox was out of code. In December I was finally given a quote of $987 to install the snow clips — this should have been done at install, not delayed two months to charge extra for labor. My sales rep also gave me incorrect information about my loan payment date, and with no notification, an automatic withdrawal was scheduled for a date I hadn’t planned for. “We put 3 systems on our buildings and noticed one wasn’t producing like it should — it was down 33% for 17 months. They offered nothing, as they only monitor quarterly. Their response was that it was technically producing so it was working. After repeated calls, we found out 15 panels were disconnected. We figured it out ourselves by comparing systems. We lost smart credits and energy. We are also waiting on a solution related to 3G dissolution so we can’t monitor one of the systems. “We installed a $60,000 solar panel system and it flooded our house after it rained, causing tens of thousands of dollars of damage. The leak destroyed the first floor ceiling, upstairs bathroom, and insulation. We lived with a tarp over our house for over 2 months while the company kept saying they would take care of us — they ended up not being able to fix the problem and I had to hire a third-party roofer. “I’ve been in the construction industry for over 40 years and dealt with hundreds of subcontractors — Summit is absolutely the worst company I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with. After 9 months of post-installation correspondence and several repairs I had to diagnose myself, they admitted the system they designed is undersized.
