“After removing several large trees on our property, we decided to consider solar which was not an option previously. A neighbor directed us towards SunBlue and I am very pleased we went with them. Chris came out to the house to sit down and walk through everything and provide an initial estimate. After that we paused for several months during which time SunBlue only reached out once to see if any additional information was required. They never put the high-pressure sale on us. Once we moved forward, they took care of planning, permits, and schedule. Whether it was dealing with Chris, Erin, or Marla it was always quick and helpful responses. The crew that did the install was first rate, professional, friendly and completed the job on schedule and to our satisfaction. We also did not want to cut all our trees down as that is counter intuitive and we care about the environment. One company reviewed our property and immediately told us it wasn’t going to work without removing all the trees. Another large company was very pushy for us to get a large and expensive setup. SunBlue was very honest and quick providing us with the in-depth analysis, detailed responses on savings vs. installation cost and break even estimates with and without tree removal. The whole process went smoothly and they handled everything from the town from permitting, utility filing (Coned), to inspection. Actual installation was complete in a couple days and we were done start to finish in 4 months. The entire team at SunBlue was fantastic the entire journey. This was after we had tried talking to several of the bigger companies who we found to be inflexible and sales-ey, with a “my way or the highway” kind of attitude. SunBlue on the other hand was very pleasant to work with from start to finish. The owner came for an initial walkthrough and very quickly provided a better price than the big companies were offering, and didn’t pressure us. They made the financing process very clear. They were very accommodating as we designed out some small roof extensions that allowed us to expand the system slightly. The actual installation only took a couple of days, and we appreciated that the electrician worked with us to find discreet locations for some of the larger switches and devices, important to us since my wife and I are both architects.
