What Do Customers Say About the Sunergy Corp.?

energysage.com

Positive reviews:

“Really delighted with Jackie’s attention to frequent follow up calls on all the advancements towards my solar installation every week. She replied promptly to any queries or emails I’ve sent. Also, thankful to Richard and team to bring this Solar installation to closure. Great work, customer centric, definitely recommend them.” – Ripshamlock ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ May 8, 2026

“I just got solar with Sunergy and I can honestly say Jackie made the whole process wonderful. As a newbie to solar energy, I had a lot of questions – and Jackie never made me feel like any of them were dumb or unnecessary. During the entire procedure she was really attentive, thorough and patient. Her conversation was what truly jumped out. She always returned my calls and answered my questions in a timely manner, taking the time to explain each element in a way that I could comprehend. She takes delight in making sure her clients feel knowledgable and confident every step of the journey. There was a supply delay on my project – entirely beyond of her control – but Jackie personally apologized, explained the issue properly, and went out of her way to make me feel like a priority. I really liked the ownership and responsibility that was hard to find. So far everything is working out beautifully and I am really delighted with both Jackie and Sunergy. I’ll be back in a few months to update my rating as things proceed, but based on my experience so far, I would definitely suggest Jackie and SuEnergy to anybody contemplating making the move to solar. You are in very good hands!” – Willietanss ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ April 14, 2026

Negative reviews:

“Permits from Local Fire Department were denied with 3 submissions. Promised to refund payments, yet NEVER followed through. CSLB finally forced the refund. DO NOT USE.” – Markdo ⭐☆☆☆☆ May 5, 2026

“The previous review by gary_mi says it all. His story is my story. I also have filed a complaint with CSLB. The question you have to ask yourself is; Do I really want to do business with a company that has angered multiple customers and has multiple CSLB complaints against them? Avoid these guys like the plague.” – Victorfielding ⭐☆☆☆☆ March 7, 2026

Positive reviews:

“We had the best experience. Called with an emergency with our solar system and they immediately scheduled to come out day-of and quickly fixed everything. Incredible customer service and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend and will now only use Sunergy going forward!” – Kathryn F. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ June 2025

“I recently had a 6,300-watt, 15-panel solar photovoltaic system installed on my roof by Sunergy. I discovered Sunergy on the Energy Sage site and compared their estimate to numerous other providers including local installers. I spoke to probably half a dozen firms and got quotations from them, and I opted to go with Sunergy. A big part of my selection was Jeremy who was very knowledgable and had inventive answers for my particular scenario. His advice were honest and not over the top, and the quotation from Sunergy was many thousand dollars cheaper than the local installers. Once I signed the contract I was allocated a project manager who kept me updated on the development of my project. There were periodic lulls in updates but nothing overly serious. The original project manager departed the firm and I was given a new project manager. The changeover was a little hard at first since I was not told there was a change, but the new project manager took over right away and kept excellent communication. The permission procedure went very well, but it took several months to get the project started, which is reasonable given the complexity of it all. The installation started on schedule, the staff was there. However, as they were new to Sunergy, there were a few of difficulties. There were delays due to miscommunication between the firm and the installers, including waiting for items to come in. The installers came in passenger cars, and didn’t have the extension ladders needed for my second story roof, and had to borrow my. They also replaced an existing inverter but seemed unclear about some aspects of the installation. Despite these issues, the installation was completed competently, though I had to point out a few things for correction. One pleasant surprise was that the installed panels had a higher wattage than initially specified, and the Enphase microinverters were upgraded as well–without any prior mention, which I’m certainly not complaining about! Post-installation support has been excellent. Chris spent considerable time ensuring that the monitoring system was set up correctly and offered valuable advice on the best PG&E electric plan to maximize savings. It’s been about three months since the installation, and the system is performing as expected. The Enphase monitoring system is particularly useful for tracking solar electricity production and will be helpful for future troubleshooting. Overall, I’m very pleased with the entire experience. Sunergy delivered a solar panel system that works efficiently and saved me a substantial amount of money!” – Gary N. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2024

Negative reviews:

“I worked with Sunergy on a San Diego solar installation on my condo. Overall results were mixed, but I do not recommend working with them. Synergy is essentially a financing and project management company. Engineering design was subbed out to Enphase who apparently does design work for free if you’re using their equipment. It took three revisions of the design to get it right. Each revision took about a month. I reviewed the drawings myself as it appeared. The Engineering was passed straight to me without reviewed by Sunergy. Installation was done by a third-party subcontractor. Be installing installation. Contractors were probably the best part of the project. They were open, communicative, honest and did an overall good clean job on the installation. I did even have one residual issue with the insulation in that the consumption transformers were installed on the incorrect wires. The original installation contractor denied there was a problem and was unable to fix it. After a complaint to Sunergy, a different subcontractor came out and corrected the problem in about 15 minutes. I was promised one point of contact in project manager assigned to my project. However, communication was consistently poor and consistently through different individuals in the organization. At one point, I had to email all of about a contacts that I had at the company in order to get a response to an email inquiry. The company waited six weeks after completion of the physical installation to submit my PTO paperwork to San Diego, gas and electric. Final fiasco came with the final invoice which was written written in the wrong amount. When I refuse to pay until PTO was received, I was reminded that the contract says final payment due on installation completion to which I responded installation completion means that the system is legally allowed to operate. I refuse to pay until I had PTO which actually came in a few days later. I would not recommend this company for your solar project.” – Daron G. ⭐☆☆☆☆ December 2025

“Installee came and left a few days after my initial review because the installation was harder than he was told it would be which makes sense since there was no site survey or engineering assessment despite what the contract promised. In fact, the 3rd party installer admitted to us that our complaints about Sunergy were neither novel nor misplaced (i.e., he had similar experiences with other Sunergy customers)! We sent a cancellation letter and prelitigation letter. Sunergy refused to give us 100% of our refund back. We had to get an Attorney involved and escalate it to litigation. What a scam company. Stay far away from them. They will take your money and do absolutely nothing meaningful.” – J. C. ⭐☆☆☆☆ January 2026

Positive reviews:

“I was looking around at several quotes when I was shopping around for the right system. Sunergy was not the cheapest company of the quotes I’ve seen but Pablo was very clear about what the company was about and made everything easy to understand. I never felt rushed to buy anything and was very comfortable with the communication which was a big part of my decision. During the install, Chris was my point of contact and he made sure to keep me in the loop the entire time. From the initial setup to finalizing with the inspector, I was very happy with how Sunergy took care of everything. I can’t believe how fast everything was from the appointment to the final installation. I’ve had friends who have gotten solar panels done at their houses and I thought this would be taking months. Sunergy made everything really easy for me as a customer and I could not be happier with my purchase.” – Ping Pong ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2024

“Chris and his team did an excellent job on our solar panel install. They got everything done quickly which allows us to get in under NEM 2.0. He also worked well with the city and Edison to get all approvals needed. We appreciate the teams effort and would highly recommend them.” – Jacques Brosseau ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2024

Negative reviews:

“Don’t use this company. They deceived me into believing that my solar system would work not only at my house, but also my garage and my guest house. It only works in my house. Have tried to reach them many times, But as others have said in their reviews, it’s near impossible to reach them. In fact the line for Chris, who is the manager, his mailbox is full. In my opinion, they’re crooks. From the surveyor Who looked at my house in the beginning to Chris,, the manager and Elizabeth Who answered their phone at what I assume was their office. They all would beat around the bush about questions. I asked about my solar job. I don’t know how they can live with their selves, shame on you guys.” – Dan Silva ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2025

“In 2020 when solar was installed Chris was very responsive and professional. Unfortunately, starting May 2024 I began having inverter issues. Chris completely ghosted me – – would not return over half a dozen texts asking for the courtesy of a response. I didn’t hear from him until my general contractor got involved. Took over 2 months for a response. On August 30 five panels went out. I have been texting/calling Hammerstone since then with no response. I’m at my wits end with his lack of professionalism. I’m now at the point of pursuing legal remedies to get someone at Sunergy to simply respond.” – Bob Hagle ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2025
