What Do Customers Say About the Sunkey Energy?

energysage.com

Positive reviews:

“I obtained detailed proposals from three suppliers and Sunkey came in slightly below one of the others, and way below that of one well-known large outfit. I am pleased with Sunkey’s choice of panel/inverter configuration for my particular location. It was a pleasure to work with a locally-owned supplier very attentive to their customer’s needs.. The arrays have performed flawlessly, and minor problems with the monitoring system were addressed quickly with no loss of data. To those considering solar – understand the number of different approvals/inspections required for your location. My location required 3 or4, each one entering a queue for sign-off.” – jsdavis5252 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ May 22, 2019

“After resolving a couple of hiccups….the installation was completed and is working beautifully. Almost any significant project will have some issues to deal with…it’s how they are resolved that counts. Job well done.” – tbassett34 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ May 16, 2019

Negative reviews:

“Anyone reading this please reach out to the Araphahoe Country District Attorneys Office, and let Stephen Fauver know, he has turned this over to Arapahoe county detectives and they have an active criminal investigation going. Also please reach out to me as well, to see if you would like to join my lawsuit.” – Terry.runion ⭐☆☆☆☆ March 29, 2021

“Avoid SunKey at all costs. Sunkey took our money, did about half of the work, then abandoned the project for several months. When we asked when the project would be complete, they just did not respond. We had open trenches in our yard for 10 months. We had to hire a lawyer to force them to finish the project. It was still slow-rolled after that, but it was finally completed about a year after we signed the contract. They promised us that they’d reimburse us for our power bills and difference in tax credits (from 2019-2020), but never did. When our lawyer tried to get them to pay up, they threatened to declare bankruptcy to avoid paying. We’re out thousands of dollars in legal fees, tax credit losses, and power bill losses. However, judging from news reports, we got off easy compared to other people who have dealt with SunKey. Run a Google search for “SunKey News” before doing business with them.” – trebuchetguy ⭐☆☆☆☆ March 14, 2021

Negative reviews:

“Zero stars for this company! I have tried to contact and get ANY RESULTS since January. They sold and installed my solar for previous owners! They claim they are understaffed and told me to find Another company to get this system back up!,,,,so ridiculous!” – Cheryl C. ⭐☆☆☆☆ June 30, 2023

Positive reviews:

“We had Sunkey install our solar panels two years and we could not be more happy. Sunkey was easy to work with and continues to be very attentive in their monitoring of our system. We highly recommend them.” – Riki Towle ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2019

“We have worked with SunKey Energy for the last 4 1/2 years and have been extremely pleased with their service and their product. We had an issue on a solar panel and never even knew about it until they came over to fix it when it popped up as a problem on their system. Excellent Customer Service!!!” – Savant Design Build ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2019

Negative reviews:

“Avoid this company. They installed a solar array on my house. Two years in, the gateway failed (interacts with wifi to report solar panel functionality). I’ve been trying to get Sunkey out to take a look at it for three months now, with little/no communication, interactions with shady contractors, and just a general disregard for the issues. So far I’ve interacted with Nick, Jim, and Nate and they all talk like they’re happy to help and then completely drop off the map and don’t respond to emails or phone calls. Go with a more reputable company, or be prepared to service your system yourself.” – David Fox ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2024
