What Do Customers Say About the Treepublic?
Positive reviews:
“Treepublic was excellent to work with during the proposal process. I worked with Vladimir, and provided me excellent information to my many questions. I ultimately did not go with them because there was a specific newly released battery I wanted for my system, and due to their owners trouble getting detailed information on pricing and technical details, they were unable to commit to a competitive price, so I chose an installer with more experience in the battery I wanted. Vladimir was the only one of the 7 companies that responded on EnergySage that actually read the detailed information I provided on my request for quote, and demonstrated high technical understanding for what I wanted and how to do it. I highly recommend TreePublic.” – briansxx ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ December 22, 2020
“Very happy with Treepublic’s combination of value (great price) and service combination. Ramsey came out to our home and was very helpful throughout the whole process. Very happy with the final product and, of course, the savings in our Energy bill!” – gordonho1 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ June 16, 2020
Positive reviews:
“Treepublic successfully installed my 7.48 kW solar system before year-end as promised, and the system is now live on Enphase and performing well. Despite end-of-year demand, the team prioritized my project, communicated clearly, and delivered clean, professional workmanship. The system uses high-quality JA panels with Enphase IQ8 microinverters, and my monitoring setup was completed the same day. I appreciate their responsiveness and the way they stepped in at the executive level to ensure everything stayed on track. Overall, a solid experience and I’m very satisfied with the installation and performance.” – Josh E. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ December 25, 2025
“Cory was straight forward when talking about adding a battery to my current solar system. He’s not there to just make a buck, but went above and beyond to make sure I knew what my needs were and what the options are. It’s rare these days to speak to someone who job is to sell but at the same time is truly looking out for the customer. Cory educated me about battery systems, costs pros and cons. Definitely talk to him if you are thinking about adding a battery to your current system.” – Marcus H. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ July 29, 2025
Positive reviews:
“Perfectionists! My Solar is a Work of Art I had a great experience with my chosen solar company, Treepublic. I had my system installed a couple of months ago and I thought it was great idea in saving time using a satellite image for an initial appraisal. But the real show starter for me was when the salesperson got up on the roof to check its physical ability to support the solar install. Challenge! Try finding a solar salesperson who will actually get up on the roof? What really impressed me was the complete openness of the salesperson who told me upfront there would be a period of time before any real progress since the structural and engineering drawings took time to prepare. Treepublic’s rep also offered me the opportunity to come and see other installs underway by Treepublic so I could see the process, at different stages, of installing solar on a home’s roof. I live in a gated community with a Home Owners Management company. As is often the case there were the usual frustrations caused by delays and paperwork requirements. These delays never came from the solar company, Treepublic. With the patience of Job, Treepublic took each and every one of the HOA’s ‘requirements’ and tailored a solution custom to our home. The only visible piece of electrical conduit was color coded at the top where it passed through the white eves of the house roof. Indeed, nothing but that one skinny, color coded, electrical conduit, part way down an outside wall, reveals the fact that solar had been installed. The electrical components also had to be placed completely out of site, inside the garage. Even then, the internal electrical conduit was color matched to the wall color inside the garage. Hey it’s your roof, pick who you like to install your solar, but since you have to listen to the solar pitch anyway, at least talk with Treepublic. These guys really knows their stuff. Thanks!” – Barry P. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ August 2017
“Treepublic did a fantastic job for us installing our 18 (5.9kW) solar power panels. Omar and Trevor are great to work with and are concerned with their customers needs and that the system is exactly right before and after the job. It was a very easy process and Treepublic dealt with all the incentive payment paperwork and permits. It has made a significant difference to our electric bill.” – Kevin M. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ December 2018
Negative reviews:
“I had a bad situation with Treepublic that I think other people should know about. I called them to add to my current solar system (which has a Franklin battery) because Franklin Battery System told me to. The inspector they sent had clearly never seen a Franklin system before, which was a bad thing. He wouldn’t even properly check the equipment boxes; he insisted that I do it. On top of that, he told my wife to call Sunnova, the original solar contractor, instead of looking at the roof panels himself. After this poor site visit, I lost faith in Treepublic and asked the company’s management to end our contract. A few months later, I got a check that returned my deposit minus the cost of the inspection (as written in the note line). There was no apology, follow-up call, or explanation. Important worries: A red flag for a “professional” solar company is that the inspector didn’t know much about Franklin systems. I had to do the inspection work by myself, which is not okay. I had to ask for the cancellation to happen, and their answer was a lone check—no contact, no end. I’m sorry, but I can’t suggest Treepublic. What could have been a smooth process for growth was ruined by their lack of knowledge and follow-through.” – Donald H. ⭐☆☆☆☆ June 2025
Positive reviews:
“We live in San Diego but came upon this solar company in L.A. since they were the only ones using the “Solar Stack” installation system for TPO flat roofs. The benefits include not having to pierce holes in the roof that eventually can cause water intrusion. Sean Sprague, the Manager, and all their employees were so pleasant to deal with. Polite and knowledgeable, we always had our calls returned on a timely basis if they didn’t answer right away. The installation took 2 days, done by a friendly crew. We are very pleased with the performance of our solar system so far. 5-STARS! (Update: I found out they recently opened a location in Carlsbad/San Diego County)” – Alex Kybal ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ January 4, 2026
“Treepublic was great to work with, supporting the design, installation coordination and licensing all the way through. They were responsive and cared about the working relationship. When I requested that they work with my roofer, they coordinated with them to get the installation right. Will be back with them for any upgrades in the future.” – Marcial Anaya ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2025
Negative reviews:
“Mixed results and rather painful process. As the project install week started, there was no clear line of communication and I had difficultly getting answers. The company wasn’t avail or communicative with my roofing company before the start of the job creating all sorts of problems at the start of the project. The week of install was chaotic as both the solar company (Treepublic) and roofing company were not able to work together without arguments and causing me much stress. The rep from Treepublic called my roofing company owner names. He also was rude to me. Because there was bad communication, the process was frustrating and the end result didn’t look good. If you need a solar company to coordinate with your roofing company: Treepublic is not your company. The 6 inch footings installed tower unnecessarily over the roof which mean even though the sleek modern solar panels from Solaria look great, the install doesn’t look low profile at all. Negating the benefit of the expensive, sleek panels. At first, Treepublic apologized and promised to fix it. A few days later the rep refused, yelled at me and hung up on me. I’m sure the panels are good quality but the process was very painful. I’d definitely not recommend this company. Buyers remorse.” – J D ⭐⭐☆☆☆ 2023
