“I started the process with another company. 6 letters starts with S ands with N and it rhymes in the middle. They were the worst. Lies left and right and said u needed $10K in work to do project but couldn’t say why. Then they went silent. I put out on social media I was looking for someone and Steve with Tron called me. Best experience ever. He was super honest and waited while I built a new garage to put panels on. Don’t hesitate to call Tron and ask for Steve T. “We used Tron solar for out install in 2019 and the system has issues. I first had contact with Andy the sales guy and he seemed knowledgeable and made us comfortable with going with the company. But after the install we were dealing with another associate Giray who didn’t know anything about solar and our system! He has since moved on and now it’s even worse as our system never reported output correctly so we get errors from our app. I don’t have anyone to work with since the original guy left and when I reach out it goes in circles. My bill for electric is now more than when we didn’t have solar! And I have to pay a loan on top of that! Definitely not happy with their job. They underpowered us and when I try and inquire about additional panel they say “well I don’t like the errors we see with your system.” Yea come fix it then! And they have now told us on 2 separate occasions that they are coming out to check the system and every time they no called, no showed!! “By far THE WORST contractor ever in terms of clean up. The workers threw their breakfast trash into our yard, spilled food around our property and their truck leaked oil in our driveway – and that’s just the beginning. The small plastic ties that bound the solar panels for travel are still being found in our grass and gardens around the house. In addition, they did NOT install to the plan they showed us. They tried to finish the job quickly and installed multiple panels in a shaded area and left the sunny area empty. Panels were NOT secured in the proper fashion. We are still trying to get this straightened out. Anyone who gave 5 stars likely doesn’t know what is happening on their roof and I would highly suggest they get their roof looked at before a fire starts or their system breaks and they are forced to foot the bill. When critters get into the wiring and damage the solar panels, they want you to pay more money after you had paid for the system to get solar. “Don’t use Tron Solar.The promised solar production doesn’t match what they claimed it would be, which is what sold me on making the purchase. Now I’m saddled with a $37,000 loan paying $120 a month on the loan, and the panels and my $210 a month electric bill has only dropped to $165 a month, when they claimed the solar production would be equivalent to what I was currently using and I would end up only paying the $20 a month ComEd delivery fee.Don’t trust Tron Solar. I purchased panels that are supposed to produce ****** to ****** KWH a year. In the month of August I only produced 720 KWH, and even if every month produced the same it would only be ***** KWH. But the days are getting shorter and the intensity of the sun is lessening with the approach of fall and winter. I’ll be lucky if I produce ***** KWH a year. “I wouldn’t trust them to do any work for me. They could t even keep an appointment to sell me on solar. I had the original appointment a week ago and i got a phone saying he had car problems and he asked if he could come later in the day which I agreed to, then I get another call to delay it yet again which I agreed to. I then thought about it and decided to text him (*****) to reschedule for the same time as the original time (9:00 am) the following Saturday he agreed and thanked me. I then get a text the following Saturday saying he will be there at ten. By this time I had had it a dust thought it was a scam. I’m glad I found out this company is so unreliable when I did. I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy. He did stop by to apologize but by then it was too late. “Horrible company made promises to my mother who has cancer told her it was all going to be free. Plus they promised her a $1,000 for signing up and none of that was true. They messed up the yard promised to come back and fix it and they never came back so I had to fix it, on top of all that she has to pay the solar people $240.00 a month just to have them RIPOFF ARTISTS. Ya her power bill is $20.00 a month but on top of the $240.00 she pays them for the next 25 yrs it wasn’t worth it. It’s sad that they took advantage of a widower and someone that has cancer. If you see them pull up lock your doors there just SCAM ARTISTS. Update the company called me and made everything wright and my mom got her $1,000 . Well another update the company promised to take care of the $1,000 they promised and said it would be here in a few day’s guess what it has never shown up.
