| Panel Options | Monocrystalline Solar Panels: These panels are made from a single crystal structure, which makes them highly efficient. Monocrystalline panels tend to have a sleek black appearance and are often used in residential installations. Polycrystalline Solar Panels: Polycrystalline panels are made from multiple crystal structures. They are slightly less efficient than monocrystalline panels but are more cost-effective. Polycrystalline panels typically have a blueish hue. Thin-Film Solar Panels: Thin-film panels are lightweight and flexible. They are less efficient than crystalline panels but can be useful in certain applications where space or weight constraints matter. Bifacial Solar Panels: Bifacial panels can capture sunlight from both sides (front and back). They can increase overall energy production by reflecting light from the ground or nearby surfaces. PERC (Passivated Emitter Rear Contact) Solar Panels: PERC panels have an additional layer at the rear that improves efficiency by reducing electron recombination. They are becoming increasingly popular due to their higher energy yield. High-Efficiency Panels: Some manufacturers offer panels with higher efficiency ratings (above 20%). These panels are ideal if you have limited roof space and want to maximize energy production. |

What Do Customers Say About the United Electric?
Positive reviews:
“It was easy to schedule an appointment which worked with my schedule. The technician Miguel arrived on time, he was courteous, professional and helped me address my concerns. The work was done quickly, cleanly and the job looks great. I recommend United Electric wholeheartedly.” – Raffi N. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ July 25, 2025
“Super super impressed with the service and well worth the money paid. I had Miguel out to install a breakout panel and a spa light, and not only was impressed with the quality of the work but his willingness to answer questions and show best practices…I would have paid just for the time without the work. Awesome experience.” – Ryan R. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ February 15, 2024
Negative reviews:
“Tim was the worst – only gave verbal estimate, then he billed for more and never disclosed or discussed. He also sat in driveway 45 on his cell with car running (trying to milk the job was my impression)- Office people are super! But the work was not up to par from him!!” – Judy M. ⭐☆☆☆☆ November 7, 2018
“Zero stars! Anyway, these guys are assholes. They don’t finish jobs, they skirt paying for taxes, their guy Jesse hamstrings every thing he touches with his lack of management experience and utter buffoonery when it comes to electrical, they don’t deliver in any way on taking care of their employees, nor do they finish jobs on time and under budget. I could go on. Do yourselves a favor and look up the settlements they’ve made for unfinished work, or previous workers’ claims against them for illegal practices. They call themselves a family company. Nah. They care about what lines their family’s pockets is all–not their client’s satisfaction, adhering to federal law, performing quality work, or delivering adequate customer service. I’ve got better electricians to refer you to any day.” – Vicky K. ⭐☆☆☆☆ January 3, 2020
Positive reviews:
“Great place to work. Great place to learn. Employee orient. It’s a big company that has a great name behind it. They have completed a lot of great jobs in the area” – Project Manager ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ May 3, 2024
“I love this place I have worked here for over 5 years and I don’t think of goin anywhere else. My boss and everyone that I work with are some of the best people I have met.” – Electrician ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ October 6, 2023
Negative reviews:
“Worked there twice, once with original owners and once with new owners. The new owner wanted me to shave the wire down to make it fit in the lug.” – Electrician ⭐☆☆☆☆ October 27, 2023
“this company has old regular guys the control the landscape and screw up constantly and always blame the new guys. i would not recommend working for these idiots.” – Forman ⭐☆☆☆☆ July 23, 2023
Positive reviews:
“United Electric did an outstanding job! Miguel was our tech and did a perfect job. He was courteous, polite and left the job site clean. Bobby in the office was also so friendly and helpful too. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for electrical work.” – Rick Garcia ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ April 2026
“United Electric always comes through for us and I am always so pleased with their service, pricing, quality and professionalism. This is a top-notch company.” – Monica Martinez Property Mgr. Surfside III COA ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ December 2025
Negative reviews:
“I contracted with this company to replace my electric panel. My experience has been very unsatisfactory. From having to call constantly to get responses about when the work would be done to the quality of the work. I’ve had issues since the box was installed a month ago!” – Maria Kalin ⭐⭐☆☆☆ 2025
“We hired United Electric to do the electric in my house as part of an extensive remodel of our home. The total job was around $70000. Overall I was initially satisfied with the work which was pretty standard: wiring/outlets/lights, etc. Employees were always helpful and polite (jesse and other guys). We moved into our freshly remodeled home and shortly afterwards had to call United for a number of issues. This is all pretty normal. We had LED dinners which weren’t functioning properly and other repairs necessary to meet code/inspections However, As soon as I started having warranty work the problems began. United installed, for example, a closet light with motion detector. This stopped working so I called them to repair. United sent a new guy who politely said that the light wasn’t correct and he ould have to go out and get a new one. He was gone for a few hours and returned with a new light. He spent hours fixing this light and then they send me a $500 invoice. Same thing with a track light they installled. It stopped working. They fixed it and charged me. Mistakes can be made but when I disputed this very obvious warranty work they offered that I pay 50% as a solution. I just spent seventy thousand dollars on completely new electric installation- in what way should I pay half for warranty work on a shoddy installation/parts? I asked for the owner to call me but he did not even bother to try-the secretary just kept telling me their offer. Now they won’t repair anything- i have had outlet and dimmer/led light problems…they connected some outdoor outlets with indoor sockets. Since then my General Contractor pays for a different electrician to come and take care of the little pieces of warranty work which was their responsiblity. As far as service, you are only worth what you spend TODAY with United electric.” – David Smith ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2019
