Beyond the quality of their own work, I think you can tell a lot from a company by whom they work with. The roofer they recommended in conjunction with the solar install installed the roof on time and cheaper than market rate while providing fantastic work. They furthermore hired a great drywall repairman to fix the drywall holes that were necessary for the install at no charge. “Uprise Solar was a great solar installation contractor. From design to installation, everyone at the company that I dealt with was professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. They realized that there was more than one system configuration/size that would work for my roof and talked me through the pros and cons of the different systems. The installation itself went very smoothly. It’s great to see the system producing energy now that it’s all finished! As an added benefit, the temperature differential between the second and first floors of my house has decreased significantly, I believe b/c my roof, now shaded by the panels, is no longer absorbing so much heat from the sun. “I appreciate the program that is being offered through Washington, DC’s Solar for All Program”. Working with Lightz Out Electric, LLC was the highlight of this project. Ed went above and beyond to make things right. The five star for service applies primarily to the electrical work. Other than that, I had to struggle with Uprise to get the roofing warranty a corrected, which will benefit all future customers. “Uprise Electric provided stellar service in the intake, installation, and full execution of solar panels for my new home. I started the process with Chris (the owner)who came over and gave a personal consultation about the product, the system, and the time frame. He was so personable that it caused me to buy into the process immediately. The team came in and install the panels and did a wonderful job. The modern panels used didn’t takeaway from the aesthetics of my home and actually looks good on my roof. We ran into a slight snafu due to approvals that was outside of the control of Uprise Electric and Chris maintained effective communication along the way. I’m grateful for my solar panels and I’m grateful for Uprise Electric being the service providers that installed and currently manages the new solar panels. “The staff at Uprise Solar went above and beyond for every part of our solar panel project. They met with us personally in a low-pressure conversation to discuss all the aspects of the process. Our house is in the historic preservation zone on Capitol Hill (DC) and we were concerned about forfeiting a deposit if our permits were not approved. Uprise figured out a way to manage the financing so that we would not be out any money, and then they managed the entire permitting process which was approved without a problem. We had a few small issues that arose after the installation process and each time the staff were easy to contact and immediately responsive with solutions.
