“Ashton told me during his presentation that Wattsun Solar is a family business. It is a selfish business, and after I listen to those for some reason maybe they get paid or they are family not customers, I made the biggest mistake of my life letting them come into my family and borrow close to $47,567 from my bank to put 32 panels on my house. Before Wattsun my FPL bill was $265-270, but now with their cheap panels I have to pay FPL $158.93-181 AND pay to their bank $232 monthly. For all of you who doesn’t have panels or undecided about it, whatever your bill is, I encourage you, do not let Wattsun come to your home. “Ashton” from Wattsun promises that my bill $232 + FPL will charge me $30 for equipment monthly. “Installation: Wattsun did an okay job installing panels. Wires were not clipped to panels. The wires are hanging onto the roof, which exposes the wiring to water, heat, and debris. The wiring and panels on the side of the house are clean and look nice. Service Call: After 2+ years of panels producing well, the panels started having issues and Wattsun was slow to send out technicians. The Enphase app didn’t send notification the panels weren’t working for up to a week, then it was 3-4 days for a tech to come out. One email went unanswered for 3 weeks. Squirrels: Unfortunately, squirrels chewed through the wiring, which was never mentioned as a possible issue during the sales presentation nor installation. Luckily, after two months of not diagnosing the problem correctly, the exposed wires didn’t cause any major damage or a fire.” – 19seang ⭐⭐☆☆☆ August 25, 2024

“I was skeptical about solar, but finally gave in because I can see the long term benefits. The sale process was great, the sales people were polite. Then they disappeared. When I needed assistance I realized that the number on the salesman’s card does not work, it goes to a google voicemail. My system was installed by a third party, and I never saw a Wattsun person again. They refuse to come here and coach me, all I have is an email channel which takes me 5 days at least to get some kind of a response. “Warranty but labor is not included. Each panel has a micro inverter costing $160. One went down and the unit got sent to my home no charge. This was March 2026. The installation by a second company was $435 out of my pocket. Now in June 2026 I have 2 more down! Yes they are very helpful to order those no charge but I have to pay $435 again plus an additional hour of work. So not only my system isnt producing at 100% but I spend more on repairs from what I save on electricity. This is not right! What kind of equipment is this? My installation was in 2021. “I am extremely impressed with WattSun Solar Energy and the solar project I hired them for. Mike Coons came over for the initial visit and explained the entire process to me and helped set expectations. WattSun Solar customer service is outstanding and second to none… that is hard to find today. They even arranged financing and it is was so easy to do. Zero out of pocket and ill be getting a 30% federal rebate that I can apply to the loan. Installation went awesome and I was incredibly happy with all the employees and their attitude as well as craftsmanship. Dennis, Cody, Mike, Dave, Christopher, and Victor… the whole crew is simply great people doing a fantastic job at an affordable price. The Duke Energy guy just came to do the final meter upgrade and he said that he has seen a lot of solar installs by many companies, but even he was impressed with the work WattSun did. “We purchased the system 5 years ago. Ever since then we have still had a significantly high power bill. Recently the enphase technology stopped working and WattSun customer support has been unwilling and unable to help. Customer support keeps trying to blame the manufacturer and the manufacturer has a relationship with WattSun and doesn’t handle customer issues themselves. I’m stuck in an infinite loop of blame game. “I had my Solar panel installed in 2020 by this company and they sold me on a lower electrical bill. I haven’t gotten what was promised. Instead I have received $300 bills from Duke energy whom has stated that the panels (44 by the way) are not producing the energy needed to run my home. I have called the customer service number to no avail. I have called Chris Hancock who sold me the system and haven’t gotten a response either.
