“I went all the way to the owner to resolve several issues: 1) They over-ordered my shingles by more than 30%, leaving over 25 extra bundles — yet refused to credit me back. 2) Despite my request, I was misled about receiving a sub-installation crew brought in from Texas for storm season. 3) The sub-crew used my gutters as foot support and damaged 75 feet of gutters — Weddle offered only $200 in compensation. 4) I was charged $350 for hip and ridge caps that turned out to be the only option available for my shingles, making the upcharge unjustifiable. 5) Multiple order mistakes — wrong skylights, wrong vent caps, 9 wrong-color shingle bundles — caused the job to take 3 days instead of 1.5. The owner never apologized for any of it, ended our communication with ‘I’m done arguing,’ and offered $250 additional only if I agreed to waive their warranty.
