“YES completed my solar project yesterday. I replaced an old 12 Kyocera 235 watt/panel PV system with an all new 15 Longi 305/watt panel PV system. Existing wiring from previous system was OK and reutilized. Jim understood my needs from the very beginning we he responded to my Request For Bids. I signed with YES and everyone I worked with from Jim to Franki to Carlos and others were great. There was a glitch (no fault of YES) when the panel supplier did not deliver my hardware in time for the initially scheduled install date. “I will update the review later when the problem is resolved. Hope this is just a misunderstanding. Recently I purchased a house with the solar panel installed by Your Energy Solution. In the original contract, the labor warranty is transferable. The original house owner emailed Your Energy Solution to request the warranty being transferred to me. I have tried to work with one of the employee in Livermore and I was asked by him to pay more than $1100 dollars to purchase the warranty for the remaining 21 years. This is ridiculous. I am surprised that the company is running business this way. Both the buyer and the seller agents also said they never heard of any charge for the solar transfer in any of their business cases. “I had a very bad experience with dealing with YES. Right from beginning there were issues. You have to spend lot of you personal time to follow up correct the mistakes. I have a a long list of email. The team is not professional. One thing that super surprises me is they dont care about customer even after you reach them. Avoid this agency. I have reached out for installing consumption meter in my home and went up to Earnest the VP, he chose not to care and asked me to find an electrician or pay a huge cost . “The background is that two years ago, we had just bought our home in Alamo and contracted Your Energy Solutions to take down solar pool panels and PV system to do a reroof. Fast forward to December 2023. My pool guy had instructed me to empty the solar pool panels ahead of freezing temps. When I got on the roof, I discovered damaged shingles under the lower header of the pool panels. After some detective work, including going back to the video taken by the real estate agent for the prior owners, we determined Your Energy Solutions completely forgot to install the lower clamps per the manufacturer’s instructions when reinstalling the pool panels. Without the clamps, the lower header has been sitting right on the shingles, and two years of thermal expansion and contraction have caused nearly 40 spots of damage to what is practically a new roof. We had never owned a pool or PV system before, so we trusted Your Energy Solutions to do the job right. I had no reason to figure out what the right installation looked like. Now I know, and ours isnt right. After the discovery of the damage, I had the roofing company (P.R.I. Premier) who did the reroof, and the repair quote came back at over $1,200. Ive been trying to get Your Energy Solutions to make a wrong a right since January 8th, and here we are at the end of the month with no resolution. After repeated attempts over the past two weeks, I can’t get them to talk to me. On top of the roofing repair bill, I still need someone to fix the botched reinstall of the pool panels. “Everyone was very friendly during the contract and installation phase. I had a multi-tier NEM system installed with battery. I was told by the sales person that I could get support after the installation with how to best use the system. I have not had success getting a response from them. Zero Communication. One agent said I have to call them, but they don’t do outgoing calls. So no callbacks. Feels like a black hole once the system is installed, no support or contact. “Once you sign a contract with them they stop responding. After multiple emails and call they responded but delayed the install. After installing they forgot about getting the permits signed off and I paid a PGE Bill from my pocket for a month until I woke them up. Their install itself was good. After installing there is no support or customer service, and you can forget they will respond. if my system goes down I guess bye bye and I will have to find someone else to fix it.
