PVFARM Launches Beta Testing for Automated Solar Layout Tool
PVFARM, a solar design platform, is looking for people to help beta test its new layout tool, which is still being developed. According to a press release, RE PILOT builds on PVFARM’s main software to automate the assessment of solar layouts. This helps solar teams design a project that is both optimal and profitable.
Automated Design for Smaller Solar Teams
When developing plans, RE PILOT considers factors like pitch distance, DC/AC ratios, and structural racking. PVFARM is working on RE PILOT to help solar businesses that don’t have large engineering teams or any at all.
Maksim Markevich, co-founder and CTO of PVFARM, stated,
“We hear from our users every day that we just can’t afford to design solar layouts the old way in today’s market. Margins are tighter, restrictions are stricter, and making money means getting the most out of each site.”
RE PILOT is designed to help developers find that “sweet spot” quickly—testing solutions against budgetary goals and grid limits in minutes instead of days. Anyone who needs to make better, quicker decisions on layout is invited to join the beta.
Beta testing will start in late April 2026, and anyone who participates will be able to provide RE PILOT direct feedback.
