Escape Solar and Storage Project Powers Las Vegas Strip
The Escape Solar and Storage project in Lincoln County, Nevada, is now up and running thanks to Estuary Power. Casino and entertainment complexes on the Las Vegas Strip have mostly bought the electricity from the 185-MWAC solar and 400-MWh battery storage project.
Power Distribution to Major Casino Operators
Escape Solar and Storage is giving Caesars Entertainment and Wynn Las Vegas 70 MW of solar electricity. MGM Resorts International is getting the other 115 MW of solar power and 400 MWh of storage.
Jill Daniel, CEO of Estuary Power, stated,
“Estuary is proud to serve some of Nevada’s most well-known commercial and public-power customers with affordable and dependable renewable energy.”
“The Escape Project,” which was achieved ahead of an already fast timetable and was extremely complicated, shows that Estuary can build, finance, and construct large-scale energy infrastructure via inventiveness, flexibility, and rigorous execution. Thank you to our consumers for trusting us and to our partners and community for helping us make this initiative a success.
MGM’s Renewable Energy Goals
Bill Hornbuckle, CEO and President of MGM, remarked,
“With this new project coming online, we are making faster progress toward our goal of using 100% renewable electricity at home by 2030.”
The new Escape Solar and Storage Project, together with our Mega Solar Array, shows that we are focused on renewable energy solutions that can be used by many people. It also shows that our sector can be more environmentally friendly while keeping costs stable over the long term, which makes our firm stronger and helps make the future of energy more stable.
Project Development Partners
Bechtel Infrastructure and Power Corporation built the solar panels for Escape. Tesla provided and set up the battery energy storage system. Dashiell Corporation finished building its substation and making some improvements to its transmission lines. TOPCon photovoltaic modules were from JinkoSolar.
