“Sunus recently installed a PV system on our new-to-us home in Midway. Project went well, despite some complications caused by collapsed conduit between our house and the barn (where system was installed). Sunus team went above and beyond – trenching to the broken conduit, fixing that run, and restoring the trench so that the work was imperceptible afterward. This is the second time we have worked with Sunus (they previously installed the system on our former home in Park City). “Alpenglow did work in my house, which should have taken a few hours, but it took 6 people to find a GFI switch more than 3 hours. To make things worse the GFI was in the room where I had said. When I registered a complaint I was told the GFI was in a bad location. When I asked for a discount for the additional time to find the GFI I was told no, in that he had carried my invoice for too long. He said he had sent the invocie via email and had proof that I had opened the email. “Took them several months to respond to my application – claimed it had been lost. Finally got site inspection, then another long delay; conflicting statements regarding the ‘designer working on it’ and whether the permit had or had not been submitted. They also continually had the wrong power company for my project, incl contract with wrong names. Started process May 2016, final installation finally Jan 2017 in heavy snow. It is now February and I think my system is up but the monitoring system is not connected and that company says my installation is not recognized. Several emails have not been answered. Office staff is defensive and hard to work with -incl lost payment. On the bright side, the actual installers couldn’t have been better AND I am glad to have the system. “Overall Experience: D-. The only reason I followed through with the project was to support the community solar project. Price: A. There was a large discount through the community solar program. Quality: A. Suniva panels are working great and are made in the US. Responsiveness: F-. Worst company to communicate with throughout the entire project. They said they would call in a few days at each step of the process, and I had to call them 2 weeks later each time. I tried to address some of these issues with the owner part way through the project, and he seemed too busy to listen to me for longer than a minute. I also tried to find out why the panels were not installed the same way as in the proposal, and I am still waiting on an answer. Punctuality: D-. They arrived on time only 2/7 times. Once they did call to notify me they would be late. One time they did not show up or call to let me know they would not be coming. I called them that day after the no show, and it took over 24 hours for someone to respond. Professionalism: F-. At one point an employee just flat out lied to me and stated that a visit was done when it never happened. They sent the wrong invoice at one point. Another time they wanted a subcontractor to complete a vent relocation and leave holes in my roof for a week without covering them until the roofing subcontractor could come the next week.
