What Do Customers Say About the Valley Solar?

yelp.com

Positive reviews:

“We were approached by another solar company promising free solar and a new roof at no cost. After talking with friends we reached out to Valley Solar and they explained clearly that such offers don’t exist. The team walked us through federal, state, and utility incentives and explained the technology in detail. We are so glad to have found an honest local company. We have almost a dozen friends, neighbors, and family members who have used Valley Solar β€” now we know why they all sang their praises!” – Steven V. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ December 26, 2024

“I had a number of friends and neighbors tell me how great their experience was with Valley Solar. When I contacted them, they responded quickly. Owner Mike came to the house and β€” instead of taking our money β€” told us that going solar would not be worth it given the direction of our roof lines. That honesty really deserves a call-out. Thanks Mike.” – Don F. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ December 23, 2024

Negative reviews:

“We chose Valley Solar primarily for the battery backup system they could install with our ground array. After contracting, we were informed that MA regulations had changed and the battery couldn’t go in the available space β€” no communication about this until they came to look at the site. Valley Solar never returned after the property survey to mark the site or discuss where the array would stand, despite knowing we were very concerned about our view and sight lines. Communication throughout was spotty or nonexistent and invoices arrived without itemization. The technicians who came to do the work were great, but the administrative team and management are seriously lacking. I would recommend selecting a different company.” – Richard W. ⭐☆☆☆☆ December 8, 2023

“It is unprofessional to speak so badly and make false claims against a competitor. A Valley Solar rep sent me a lengthy email disparaging a competing company by name β€” referencing their business being down 40%, calling their production estimates inflated and their tactics unethical. Valley Solar also never conducted a site visit while two other companies did. Up to you whether you want to use a company that speaks this way about competitors.” – Tetty G. ⭐☆☆☆☆ November 29, 2024

“Awesome experience. Valley Solar was helpful to us even before we became customers, troubleshooting our system with us. Mitchell was creative in saving part of our existing system. They are super-responsive by text and email and the team that came to the house was efficient and kind. The installer went the extra mile and mounted the receiver. We are very pleased and recommend Valley Solar.” – Dina Hokanson ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ February 2026

Negative reviews:

“Valley Solar had to return to our house repeatedly to fix egregious errors they made, including holes they put in the roof. Overall our experience was one of poor workmanship, uncoordinated crews and supervisors, and extreme inconvenience, not to mention the actual damage caused. There are so many solar companies now β€” do yourself a favor and choose someone else.” – Lilly Hoch ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2024

“They couldn’t get my address correct for months. Very vague when asked questions and shoddy paperwork that messed up the schedule Z for our electric bills. The system went online in early September 2024 and Eversource said credits might appear in February 2025. $35,000 invested and still waiting. Use another company.” – Smokin Moq ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2025
