What Do Customers Say About the Nexamp, Inc.?

yelp.com

Positive reviews:

“Just purchased a new electric vehicle. I spoke to the team at Nexamp and they were able to adjust how much solar energy I was receiving because I know my electricity bill is going to go up. They were pleasant and took care of me right away.” – Erik M. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ March 6, 2025

“It’s important to me to support clean energy, but as a renter, I can’t purchase solar panels. Nexamp made it easy for me to sign up for community solar. Instead of paying more for my clean energy like I did in the past, Nexamp got me a discount on my electricity costs! The billing process was a bit confusing, but once I figured it out I was very satisfied.” – Claire D. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ March 6, 2025

Negative reviews:

“I was charged for over 2000 credits in a year that I will never use because Nexamp intentionally overbooked estimates of usage. They pocket all the cash and you lose credits. You will never recoup your losses and they will never refund you. I’ve lost over two months worth of credits because you don’t get refunded. Everyone keeps the money but you so you lose more than any percentage they promise.” – Tim K. ⭐☆☆☆☆ February 25, 2026

“expensive and bad business practices They have absolutely bad business practices. I signed up and saw no savings but an increase. To cancel it takes 3 months!!! Yes months! In addition to my my regular electricity supplier I had to add $50-$100 more. Their cancellation policy is crap. Buyer beware” – Bob N. ⭐☆☆☆☆ February 2, 2024

Positive reviews:

“Excellent service plus excellent savings in electricity bills. I feel solar energy is good for the environment we leave for our children. The staff at Nexamp has been very helpful and supportive.” – Sam A. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ August 21, 2025

“So far I have been very impressed with Nexamp. The bills reconcile with my utility, and I am very happy to use solar power instead of fossil fuel electricity. One thing is still not clear to me is, will I end up buying more kwh of power than I use over the course of a year? I am trying to reconcile this. The emailed invoice with a video that talks you through your specific charges is brilliant!” – Greg B. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ January 20, 2025

Negative reviews:

“On my account homepage, REMOVEDstates “”The average wait time for farm placement is four months.””It has now been over a year, and I am still being told it will take another four months. For a company whose core business is developing and managing solar farms, the inability to provide a realistic timeline is unacceptable. At best, this reflects poor planning and communication. At worst, it is deceptive and false advertising.” – Jeff E. ⭐☆☆☆☆ April 21, 2026

“Same scam as mention in previous reviews. Person shows up at my door claiming I was owed moneybags having the solar farm across from my house. Never mentioned his company name, asked to see my bill to “”verify”” I was not getting the credit. Was told a REMOVEDwas going to call and to say yes to the questions so I would get the missing credit. At no time did they state that they were going to switch my supply to their company. I spent 1/2 of a day on hold with several of their REMOVEDtrying to get this change stopped. Not sure if they complied or not. I have blocked the change at my utility company, filed a fraud alert and froze my credit report and contacted my REMOVEDto inform them of this attempt.” – Terry L. ⭐☆☆☆☆ April 15, 2026

Positive reviews:

“I wanted to thank Keinicia for all her help with my account. It is rare in this day and age to find someone so knowledgeable and competent. In addition she was patient in explaining things to me and very clear. Fantastic customer service from her!” – Rita DiCaprio ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ March 30, 2026

“I like the way Nexamp explains to you after signing up every thing that is happening with your solar farm and what to expect. They also tell you about your credits you will receive and how to pay your bill with them. They also explain you will have more credits in summer than in the winter months. They also have Videos to watch about the solar farms” – Cassie Flanagan ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ February 17, 2026

Negative reviews:

“I’ve had a billing problem for almost 2 years, I called them at least once a month. They promised the problem will be taken care of. It’s never been taken care of. Customer service is horrible. No one will take ownership and see the problem through.” – Stephen Metildi ⭐☆☆☆☆ March 5, 2026

“It takes six months to cancel service with these folks! I was told it would be 90 days, so this is clearly a deceptive business practice. Who ever heard it it taking six months to cancel a utility? They get a zero rating with me. It is not just that it takes six months to cancel, but that I was told it would be half that length. Don’t do business with these folks!!!!” – Nora ⭐☆☆☆☆ December 15, 2025

Positive reviews:

“I typically know what is expected of me on a daily basis. Plenty of work that needs to be done, in my department in particular, there does not seem to be enough people for the work, so there is always room to add to your workload & help out.” – Administrator ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ February 13, 2025

“What is the best part of working at the company? As a Construction Superintendent at Nexamp I was free to run my sites as I saw fit while following company protocol, was rewarded for hitting deadlines, had unlimited support from the Sr. Superintendent and Operation Manager to get whatever was needed for the project without question, Healthcare benefits and per diem are above average. CS’s start as contract employees through a Construction management recruiting firm with 6 month contracts at a time but are continually renewed instantly if you do your job, if you show good performance through your first 2 projects you are 90% of the time offered a promotion to Sr. CS and directly hired to Nexamp with a company truck, credit card, and a bunch of perks. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? At Commissioning stage of each project, where everything has to be operating perfectly, the Commissioning team comes to the project from Boston, No matter where te site is located and it has to be 100% ready for them. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Great environment for the most part, you Oversee multiple contractors working on the site so if you create a good relationship with them then it’s a great atmosphere What is a typical day like for you at the company? 1. Saftey meeting with Foreman, briefing with the contractors to go over the days plan and your expectations of them. 2. Walk the site taking photos of work being completed to upload into project management software to be viewed by Operations if they choose to. 3. Various site Inspections” – Greg B. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ January 20, 2025

Negative reviews:

“Your coworkers are great. They want you to succeed and are happy to lend a hand when needed. Management does NOT really support you, however. I never had a productive 1:1 or any check ins with my manager.” – Anonymous ⭐☆☆☆☆ January 13, 2026

“Absolutely awful culture! All about CYA and no accountability for mistakes. Lack of integrity and security of Management leads to micromanagement and lack of trust in lower management and over worked middle management due to poor awareness or touch on the pulse of the organization and non existent leadership from VPs” – PV Site Assistant Superintendent ⭐☆☆☆☆ August 25, 2025

Negative reviews:

“I am constantly chasing down my credits from the Upton site. Every month they are late to posting to National Grid. I can’t tell if I’m saving because it’s always late. Very nice people but very frustrating.” – Cat T. ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2022

“Every word they say is lies. They say your bill drops 50%. Mine stayed same. Then it takes 2 months to get off. They wont delete your data. Never signup.” – Kevin G. ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2022

Positive reviews:

“Giant misunderstanding with most of these negative reviews same with the BBB (Unreliable source) reviews I’ve seen. First of all, Nexamp is not a third party supplier so any rate increases you experience are generally always from your utility company. Second, it takes a few billing cycles before you start to see credits showing up on your bill which are paid back at a 10-15% discount. Third, do some research on how community solar works before automatically assuming that a legitimate program is a scam. Most people would rather jump to conclusions instead of taking the time to truly understand how something works” – Doggiesfrominsta ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2024

“We’ve been with Nexamp for nine months now and we couldn’t be happier. There was no capital investment and thus far we’ve benefited from significant savings. Their customer service is always great to work with … the way customer service should be …helpful, professional and friendly. Although it takes awhile for the billing to smooth out (we assume it takes quite a bit of coordination with our previous provider) the savings and ease of use is worth the wait! Thanks for providing your wonderful service Nexamp!” – Nancy Belisle ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2020

Negative reviews:

“I think it is so stupid to have two light bills When I first signed up it wasn’t doing anything to help with the light bill I called National Grid up told them I wanted only National Grid I thought that I was only with National Grid then I get a phone call saying I had a credit put to my National Grid Bill Well it really wasn’t a credit They credit the first time 15. And some change I looked at my National Grid Bill yes I had a Credit of $15 and some change but in turn I had to pay a bill from Nexamp $15 and some on change I got another bill saying that Zi had gotten $16 and some on change in my National Grid which I did but in return I had nexamp bill of 16 and some change well that isn’t making any sense to me 16 hours change my national Greenville then I pay the rest of the balance then I get a bill from them $16 is much change the exact amount that the Credit National Grid OK people wear the savings I’m feeling it’s a big scam or a rip off. I don’t know how much longer I’m gonna Play this game the lady asked me to hold out. I’ll start seeing savings that is not a savings. They’re paying so much on my National Grid bill so I pay my National Grid bill, but then I got a bill from them for the amount that they credited National Grid there’s no savings I might as well just pay all the national grid.” – Donna Walker ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2025

“If I could give less them less than 1 star I WOULD… I was a customer. The cost increased every month. So decided to cancel the service. I had a $574.65 credit on my National Grid bill that was wiped out. Statement reads “”VDER Returned Banked Credit to Host””. National Grid states they have no control. The credit went back to Nexamp. I called Nexamp and they state it is National Grid kept the credit. A huge Merry go Round. Do yourself a favor and run away from NEXAMP as fast as you can!!! I have all the documentation to prove my point. I don’t expect any response from these guys.” – Jon Gorea ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2025
