“Skyline Solar worked in conjunction with Evergreen Solar in installing a solar project at my Cape Cod home. My project was fairly straightforward, as my home is only a year old, with a new roof, and new electrical service as well. I will preface my remarks by saying that my level of anxiety about this project was extremely high, given that I had a limited time frame of three months for completion! Both the Skyline team and the Evergreen group worked together beautifully in arranging the construction schedule, and keeping me well-informed throughout the project. They responded to my issues and concerns about the timeline most appropriately, reassuring me throughout the project that things were moving along just fine. The major drawback in the timeline was the permitting process in my town, which took much longer than expected. “We just completed a new roof and very large solar grid project with Skyline. EVERYTHING was coordinated for us in a timely manner. The roofers were PHENOMENAL – one day and done, and complete perfectionists! The solar installation team and electricians were equally EXCELLENT. This was a large project and not an easy one, and every team member collaborated and worked with us to get this done! On September 22nd, Skyline Solar began to work with us to design and install a roof solar system by December 30th. A friend who is knowledgeable told me that it could not be done. But, it was. The design process was thorough in that several possibilities were considered in order to get the maximum number of panels. The installation took place in one day. I was receiving solar by the end of the year! And, when an issue arose because of my own lack of knowledge, Skyline had someone out the very next morning to get me back and running. “Skyline solar company is a subcontractor for Sunova solar installations. I have a leaking roof with a lot of mold growing from the roofing contractor Sunova subbed out . Skyline Solar came to my house over a month ago and agreed it was an improperly installed roof which are paid by Sunova to correct an issue like mine ,I have a case # and still Sunova tells me someone will call before the end of the day. It appears it’s the daily response I get every time I call them ,I’ve called Skyline Solar no exaggeration 15 times nobody picks up the phone. I’ve left messages. Nobody returns calls. They evidently don’t have the decency to call me back. I have no choice but to get professional council at this point I am forced to make this a legal matter , I didn’t wanna go this route, but I am forced to being my situation gets worse each day ,I will give Sunova Solar company and Skyline Solar company not even one star, I regret even getting solar panels dealing with companies like this ,be warned what you can get yourself involved in with these types of solar companies, very very disappointed , and to this day, my roof is still leaking and mold growing. It’s been six months now I’ve retained a lawyer and that’s the only way I’m going to make any headway. Stay away from Solar. It was slow getting it operational, not because of them, but codes, inspections, both locally and through our REMOVEDpower provider (United Illuminating) and others. It took three months.Ever since, it’s now 2024, everything has been perfect. I had question this week and they got back to me within a couple of days. “I started my project on 4/10/2023. Till this day they have not finished the project. I’ve called twice after their last visit on July 5, 2024. Also, they never called to schedule a visit they were lucky we were home that day (both my husband and I work). They still have to fix my wall since they made a mistake when they installed the battery and had to come in again to move everything around and rewired. They said they were going to send someone to patch the wall, and they have not done so. Every time I call the person that was in charge of my project has either been promoted to another role and they can no longer help, or they no longer work for the company. This has been a nightmare and has taken a year and a half, and it is still not done. No one in their company is professional. I regrate doing business with them and wish that they can just come in and take it all down so I can move to a more professional company. This is an expensive project! The last two times I called both representatives told me the same information. Since they did not have approved plans for the battery before they moved it around it needed to get approved by the city. No, the city has approved and need the final inspection but then again no one has called me back from the last two calls I made. I’ve even requested the manager to call or whoever is in charge of my project, but they have not called. They just took my money! My garage has been a mess since they have not completed their work, and I cannot move anything around. Also, they never told us they had to install the battery in our garage, and they had to install bollards and not my garage is reduced, and we had a problem with that as well. Since they wanted to drill the cement, but we kept on telling them they had to scan because of the stamp our slab for post tension wiring. Horrible experience I would never recommend. “I was there for a month. During the interview process and onboard, (which took over a month because they didn’t want to bring me on over the holidays) I told them I have a husband who is in the service. He went out of town a month after I started working, and we were in between moves. They did not accommodate for that and immediately pulled me to the side concerned about how much time I was taking off. They took a month to onboard me. They trained me and then when I was let go, said it was because they didn’t have time to train anyone. They immediately need someone who can use their software. During the interview process they said they could accommodate for hybrid if family issues arrived. When they laid me off, they said they can’t accommodate for hybrid work. Although there is an individual who works from home every Friday. This pace does not care about you or your family. “Do not use them. They won’t honor the warranty if your roof leaks. They also don’t answer calls. I showed up to the office, they gave me a fake installation date just to get me to leave. “I am more than unhappy with the poor service of Skyline Solar. They put solar panels on my house, but never turned them on, so I’m paying for a system that is not generating power. Despite several payments, I am effectively subsidizing a worthless setup. The total lack of contact and follow through by Skyline Solar is awful. Repeated efforts to remedy this issue have been greeted with silence or excuses. I feel like a consumer that is completely neglected and exploited. It is utterly wrong to be paying for a service that is not being provided. Thinking about solar? Do yourself a favor and stay away of Skyline Solar.
