“Alba Energy installed our residential project. The sales team seemed competent, but the actual installation and follow up has been poor. They brought the wrong panels to the install- the panels were comparable, and we didn’t want to continue to delay, so we allowed the installation to continue. Now, we’ve had non- reporting devices for over 2 years on part of the roof, and despite numerous emails and calls for service we have yet to receive a call back to schedule service. “Although the customer service is on point it has been 2 months and we still cant operate. Also, in the conversations and the documents sent to us the tax credit is 100% misleading. We were told verbally and in writing that in the event we had no liability on taxes we could apply the credit amount to our loan yet that is not the case. Even the repayment form sent to us for the loan stated a loan payment in the event we did or didnt apply the credit to the loan. If you have no tax liability you dont get the credit. “I interview 3 different solar companies. All has some pros and cons, but I thought Alba did the best job of answering my questions and really was the only one that seemed to understand the process of the Oncor rebate queue for rebates. As more questions came up Sean Taylor was able to answer them and so far I am very pleased with the entire install and end product. The application shows the energy being produced, consumed, and net export to the grid on these sunny days. The only reason I rated quality Good vs Excellent was the 12 year manufacture warranty on the panels. Basically, the panels have a 25 year Production warranty on the System, which means that it still produces 85% of the energy at that time as it had in year One. Other systems may have more wattage and 87.5% rating, but I compared it on a cost basis as getting a Cadillac or Chevy. I felt the extra costs was not worth the value proposition, but I am sure others might desire the 360 watt panels and pay the extra costs. The price is before any rebates or tax credits and reflect a CASH price versus loan. Another BIG reason I went with Alba is they worked directly with Green Mountain Energy and Oncor so rebates will be sent to them, versus others that indicated I had to put out the cash and the rebates would then eventually come directly to me. So Alba helped satisfy a potential cash flow problem I would have had if they did not allow rebates to be sent directly to them.” – Dan D. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ October 2017

“After tiring of high utility bills and researching the generous rebates and tax incentives available, my husband and I decided to look into solar. Alba Energy provided us with detailed proposals for two different systems and all the information we needed to make the decision to go with the larger system. Once we gave them the go-ahead, they proceeded with all the paperwork necessary for the rebates and permitting. They partner with a company that offers low-interest financing so our out-of-pocket cost was $0. The process actually took much less time than I was anticipating. Once the permits were secured, the installation took 3 days. The crew showed up promptly each day, were extremely professional, knowledgeable, hard-working, dedicated (it rained on the first day and instead of packing up and leaving, they waited until the rain passed, the roof dried out a little and they were right back to work) and very neat. Upon leaving each day, they cleaned up the area so well I wouldn’t even have known they were there. After installation, an Alba representative came and inspected the system to ensure it was ready for the CPS inspection, which occurred less than two weeks later. The CPS inspection went smoothly and they turned on the system. For the first time ever I am looking forward to my next utility bill! The entire process with Alba Energy was extremely smooth and uncomplicated. They kept in contact on a regular basis to let me know what was happening when and have also followed up after installation several times to make sure we were happy with the process and installation. But once I did, I started reaching out to them. I get it. Reboot. So we went through that. They literally don’t answer phones. And they barely respond to emails. I’ve called. Written. Left voicemails. Warranty? What good is a warranty they won’t honor? The wiring they sold with the system appears to be falling apart. Great! Am I supposed to climb up there and fix it myself? “We had our solar panels installed by Alba about 4 years ago…one of our inverter has malfunctioned and to have it replace by Alba has been a constant problem.Took more than 4 months finally hear that solar edge had shipped it to Alba. We had called and called this place and we still hear silence. No call returned. No emails returned. Left message after message with no response.I Called their office today as a matter fact’ and got rerouted to an answering service and left a message and no response 9/22. I emailed Michaela about the replacement inverter for our house that solaredge that should have been delivered to my house and for some reason Alba is the one that received it. We have been waiting for 4 months now for the replacement. They are still holding our inverter for no reason. Solaredge already sent Alba a reroute label for the inverter so it can be shipped to my address instead. ⁹ not sure what else to do but to either seek legal advice.Next time I do solar, I am gone research the company well.
