What Do Customers Say About the Cupertino Electric?
Positive reviews:
“Don’t know what’s wrong with the other negative reviews. These people are honest, dependable, straight forward, professional and have been in business since 1989 in San Francisco, since 1954 in the South Bay Area. They do commercial work, including but not limited to Office Buildings, BioTech, Museums, Hi-Rise Residential, Student Housing, Hospitals & Health Care Facilities, Data Centers.” – Fred B. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ January 23, 2023
Negative reviews:
“Tell your drivers to stop at STOP signs especially in heavily residential area. I saw one driver pull up to a stop sign and he sped up past the stop sign instead of even slowing down.” – Terence C. ⭐☆☆☆☆ August 25, 2023
“Exactly!! Dont hire these people. There is NO accountability here. Just a bunch of finger pointing “” go talk to this person , go talk to that person “” . You know that one . They wont even ansew a simple question. Many mistakes on the job sight. Do the same thing 1,2 3 times. Not sure if that was intentional or ONE BIG mistake. Cheap Labor ? And dont try to film them blasting rap music ,yelling and cussing on the jobsite. They will call the Police on YOU.” – Eric C. ⭐☆☆☆☆ September 4, 2020
Positive reviews:
“CEI was an amazing place to work at. I had no background in electrical contracting but had experience other trades. They saw my potential and hired me as a project engineer where I received training of electrical systems and estimating. CEI is very supportive of your career growth and an amazing place to work at.” – Project Engineer ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ May 12, 2025
“They treat you with the highest respect and encourage you to excel in your selected career path by providing incentives with financial bonuses for exceeding personal and project expectation. I would highly recommend!” – Assistant Project Manager ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ April 30, 2023
Negative reviews:
“Great people. People have really invested their careers here. I think there is a lot of support if you want to grow in to different teams or divisons. However, it seems that if you like your current job there is no realy path or structure to become higher and get pay bumps. Like if I started out in a position and have been in that same position for 4+ years why can’t there be a senior role or a “”level 3″” role and pay increase. The annual pay increase was alaways 2-3.5%. Bonus is wildly different across different jobs some get $2500 some get upto $5000 meanwhile there are others throughout the company either in corporate or project teams getting 10-20% + bonuses. Just doesn’t seem fair.” – Safety Coordinator ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ December 2025
“My experience was in the new division of mobile home infrastructure and electric vehicle charging network. The manager was fresh out of skill, no skill in communication to teams, completely reliant on others to do their work, delegated without understanding of those working and division of responsibility. Executive management cuts cost by employing young professionals, giving them too much work and little pay. Their compensation for job completion bonuses was ridiculous if they kept you around long enough to collect. CEI capitalizes on inexperienced of young professionals to not negotiate for the work at hand and rhem puts too much burden on their young managers. ALSO, get your bonus allocations in writi g at time of hiring. CEI will tell you whatever you want to hear to get you in the door but my experience and others in my division were taken advantage of when it came for annual increases and performance bonuses. One year they gave a thousand dollars cash as the bonus to everyone across the company. But that does take into account late nights work as well as weekend work. Terrible experience.” – Project Controls Manager ⭐☆☆☆☆ June 19, 2023
Positive reviews:
“Awesome company to work for. Big learning curve while internalizing the company policies. A culture that makes you feel important. Coworkers that make sure you know you have support, as long as you have the where with all to ask.” – Now Not ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2020
“One of the most dedicated companies to not only their customers but their employees also! Still as large as they are they still retain the family feel and truly care about the people within their family!” – Richard Schlarb ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2019
Negative reviews:
“I wish we had the great experience of others. In our mobile community the electrical was upgraded throughout. The old electrical was never removed though some did have theirs removed ours is still there years later.” – Alice Reed ⭐⭐☆☆☆ 2022
“They need to learn how to park! Unable to unload uncle (90 yr old) in the only handicapped spot available:(” – Vic B. ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2024
