Their pricing was not as competitive as other companies, but their sales person was very knowledgeable and helpful. He gave me several solar options to choose from. In short, given HOA restrictions that limit solar to the rear of my home, the trees on that side of the house, and below average electric rates from my electric cooperative, I am not an ideal candidate for solar at this time. For anyone considering solar, make sure you understand your utility pricing and your electric usage patterns. “From the initial install through our system upgrades and handling component failure, Emerald Energy has always been there doing what’s right. Out of the 3 initial proposals, Emerald Energy was the only company that was willing to put together a system that met our needs when my initial request was much larger than our budget. Since the initial install, we had 2 other project adding more battery capability and then more panels. We also had some battery and solar component failures and Emerald was there when the vendor wasn’t as responsive as we had hoped. They are highly skilled and certified to work with all of the latest vendor technology. The quality of their work is also very impressive. They were able to hide most of the conduit and made it blend nicely with our house. “Thank you Emerald Energy. I chose this company by the reviews and wanted to be sure to write a review to assist others when looking for a Renewable Energy Specialist Company in NC. The company that installed my solar panels back in 2018 went bankrupt . Emerald Energy made it through the pandemic which says a lot. I needed a new company to monitor the panels – then I lost connectivity to Solar Edge monitoring platform. John Leonard diagnosed hardware failure with the inverter. New one is installed and household is back in business. Very easy to communicate with Mr Leonard. No drama (unike the last company). Straight forward dealings. So easy to work with. Thank you! “They came and installed everything and did great untill it came to finishing the job. They installed the system at the end of Aug, this is November and the system monitoring thru the app is still not working properly. I spent 4 days on phone with enphase and was told the installer needs to come check the system to insurethe system is correct and the CT’s were installed correctly. Emerald said they would come check it but no show, after 2 days and several call i finally get a call to address the issue. I was told it would be 2 weeks at the soonest they could come and fix it. They said they were too busy installing new systems!!! They did not complete mine to my satisification but said it was producing as it should. The point is i can not monitor my system accuraty. I was told the CT’s were probably bad. I suspect 1 or more installed incorrectly. I have to wait untill the get here in 2+ weeks at best. “I just had my house, solar panels and battery installed through these guys. John was very helpful and educated me quite a bit. The installation staff was also very good, very kind, and I felt safe, letting them in my house as they worked in the attic. They cleaned up for themselves as well. Very professional.
