“Beware: Do Not Trust FES SolarFES Solar promised no power bills and a $9,432.45 federal tax credit. Their system barely provides 35% of my energy demands and I only got $6,274.00 in credit. My entire expenditures, including solar payments and electricity bills, surpass my initial energy bill. My panels were damaged in Hurricane Milton and FES will not honor my warranty claims. They made up paperwork, lied to sell me a system that was too small by lying about my energy demands, and used a lot of misleading techniques including a fake extortion accusation against me because I was trying to get a fair settlement. Mediation with Pinellas County Consumer Protection did not work and I am now working with state authorities and other mis-led clients. I have photographs to prove them incorrect. Stay away from FES Solar and its owner David Kozlowski, who has a bad reputation in the sector. “Contracted on 2/28/25 they were going to give me a free roof replacement and was purchasing solar panels. I was given estimated completion date 4/5/25. Every time I contacted them was told we are in the permit stage. Early June was contacted to ask if i had gotten my roof replacement yet. Told the person your company was supposed to replace my roof for free. She said Oh Ok. On June 18th was told they were getting quotes for my roof replacement. Two weeks later still hadn’t heard from them regarding my roof replacement so I decided to cancel. When I started this process anticipated having my roof finished before hurricane season so that is the reason I canceled. Now they say I need to pay $5000 to cancel this project. “I have a hard time even believing that all the 5 star reviews are even real. This company has been the worst as far as customer service goes that I have ever dealt with. One issue after another, from the misleading sales process, to the over a year from install to inspection of the solar system set up, the lack of verifying with me if I even have a preference of where the panels are installed, the going dark on requests until I have lost all patience, the lack of follow up and follow through on complaints and issues, the additional year to get my generator up and running just to suspiciously appear to skip an inspection of it, as well as pawn off the issues of following up with their chosen contractor to me instead of addressing the issue. Not worth an almost $60,000 bill in the slightest. I feel incredibly unvalued, and quite frankly screwed over. Granted I should have done more shopping around first and that is my fault, but there was nothing that hinted at how bad this process could be with this company especially with the high price tag. “unbelievably competent! Over the Top above every other solar company around. My original solar company went out of business. The company i hired to pick up the contract charged me 200% above everyone else. I called 7 more solar companies. 5 went out of business. 2 were new installs only. Only ONE…Florida Elec and Solar…would do actual REPAIRS on my system for a FAIR price. As a former electricians apprentice, I knew what was needed and how much it should cost. WHAT A RELIEF to find this capable and honest Team!!!! From Andre’s knowledge of systems, to Anna’s scheduling/follow up, Barrons helpfulness and finally their AMAZING installer/technician GARRETT…can’t say enough about this Crew. “Getting solar panels from this company is the greatest regret of my adult life. I got my panels the end of 2022 and I have had an electric bill THE ENTIRE TIME. My bill is about $50 cheaper and the bill for my panels is over 2 hundred! Then they told us if we got a bill to call them and they’ll cover it. No call back. Then I called to see if maybe there is something wrong with the panels… no call back. Then they told be I would be getting a cash back tax credit and when it never came I called AGAIN and you guessed it I never heard back! This company is a scam and I wish I never answered the door.
