“About a year ago I had Green Team LI come to my house after getting the PSEG flyer with their name in the mail. I got the same one in the mail today which inspired me to write a review since I am not the only homeowner with a bad experience. Two guys came here. OZ and someone else. They di measuring in every room and they did a whole house leak test to determine how well the house was insulated. When they were finished OZ made a date and time that he would come back here with their full report on my house. He never showed up. “It’s been a few years since I had work done by Green Team. Windows, insulation, and Ac/heat pump install. From day 1 it was a horrible experience, including but not limited to, poor communication, sub par work, and downright offensive and inappropriate workers/sub contractors. So now a few years later, with me repairing the work that was done as I come by the poor workmanship I have an AC problem. I go up to inspect and find the line side to the unit in the attic has both hot legs cut through most of the conductors to the 60 amp breaker in the unit. 3 strands left un cut on one, and 4 on the other. Wires were stripped with dikes and no one checked anyone’s work. The more I look at the more I find wrong, I wish I could get all of my money back, and have someone competent to re install. They put 14 inches of insulation in my attic, sealed all the joists, and even sealed all the HVAC ducts (the flex duct work going through the attic) to make sure everything is as energy efficient as possible. They put up a genuine pathway to my air handler so it’s safe to get to and took the time to do it well, which shows they truly care about completing the job right. The excellence of the job was only surpassed by the cleanliness and professionalism of the whole staff. They were incredibly respectful of my property and left everything pristine. You’d never know a construction team had been there. “This a little over a year into our heating systems installed by Steve, Joseph, and D on team 1. We are very happy with our Heat Pump and Water Heat pump. Can’t say enough about the project manager Rich. That guy is awesome and should frankly get the commission for the sale. Any problem, he was on it regardless of whether it was his responsibility. Seriously don’t lose Rich Green Team. The partner services were a bit lacking. The insulation crew changed the exhaust for our dryer. Nice.. but then left the manual inside the pump. Thankfully it wasn’t taped right either so it blew off and I could remove the obstruction. The wall units were removed as well, but the space was patched unevenly it took a massive amount of mud and sanding to make it relatively blend. “My wife and I and my mother who all live in the same house in East Patchogue decided last fall to go with green team to replace our oil heat with their system. Truly the worst mistake we ever made in our lives I can’t begin to tell you how unbelievably unsatisfied and pissed off we are there’s no heat most of the time . The Units they installed I’m not even close to being able to keep our house warm we’ve had repair people to our house back and forth nobody seems to be able to fix it and now during the worst blizzard and aftermath in 30 years the house has no heat at all. “This company has been the worst. Absolutely do not use them for your installation or any repairs. They installed our system and it’s been horrible. It’s freezing and we cannot use the heat. We call and there is no response, we schedule appts and they don’t show up, finally they show up and look around say they will come back and never do. Eventually after going back and forth for months they had a team come in and fix the issue only for it to be worst and the system doesn’t even come on anymore and We’ve been ghosted again. They are truly scammer and will leave you to freeze with a newborn in your home and ghost you. – update: they finally responded to us and came out to fix our issue again, charged us a fee, it was still not working and after telling us it would come out and fix it they are again having us take off of work and not showing up they finally sent someone who showed up and are now trying to charge us more stating that we are now out of warranty as of January 2026 even though we have been calling since November 2025 for this issue and they never fixed it or found it.
