“We loved Adi. We talked to several other installers before Adi, but none of them could answer our questions like Adi did. He was very knowledgeable and gave us a great system for a great price. His crew did a great job and we are very happy. We have 60 Canadian Solar CS6P-275M panels and 30 AP Systems dual microinverters. The monitoring we get with the AP Systems website is great. We were easily able to see when one panel dropped a third of its power. Adi first replaced the inverter, and when that didn’t fix it, he replaced the panel. Our system has been working great since then. After one full year, our electric bill has been reduced to 20% of the previous year’s. “Greenbelt delivered exactly what they promised–our relatively small 3.92 kW system is up and running, generating >20 kWh per sunny day on a SW-facing roof (4.5:12 pitch). Pricing was better than any other options that I was able to find. Adi was very upfront and honest (perhaps “”blunt””, but I appreciated this). Other companies seemed to often exaggerate the benefits or upsell the proposal–one actually tried to sell me on a 12 kW system which would be completely overkill for our house’s low energy usage–I’m an electrical engineer myself and researched the basics enough to know better). The installers were very friendly and explained what they were doing and how everything worked (I was probably annoying by asking them so many questions). You could tell that they cared about making everything look nice as well as putting the panels in the best spot to optimize light exposure. One other anecdote… right after the installation was complete, our city changed its rebate policy (the new policy being better for my specific case). The installation process felt rushed and lacked attention to detail, leaving me concerned about the overall quality of the work. After installation, customer support was slow to respond and unhelpful when issues or questions came up. Overall, I regret choosing Greenbelt Solar. “In the last quarter of 2020, I was shopping around for solar panels. Used energy sage, got a few quotes, and Greenbelt was the most elaborate, were very responsive to questions and answered every question I had to the last detail. Their sales person cared about my particular preferences and worked with me to tailor my contract to my need (e.g. timelines). Their warranty was top tier in terms of being transferable in case I ever sold my house (only a handful offer this, most don’t – something to keep in mind while shopping around). They handled all the paperwork with the HOA and the utilities (I just had to sign a couple docs online) and in December they installed my system in as much time they originally claimed they would (only delayed by one day due to bad weather, but who wants to expose their rooftop during rain?). They have been very responsive to questions, even the technical ones I had, and a few months later, I used them again to upgrade my system and add backup batteries (which is not always possible – it depends on your house’s layout and if you have an adequate spot to install your batteries), and got the same professionalism I saw in December. Dustin, Philip, Adi and the rest of the staff were happy to explain exactly what they were doing, always checking with me whenever there was anything customizable so I got to choose what decisions to get involved in, and which ones I deferred to them. “Adi and his crew installed solar panels and batteries for the house and adjacent ADU. They arrived and finished when they said they would. The work was of high quality and the crew answered all questions clearly. With this installation we get approximately 90% of our electricity from the panels or batteries and sell the excess to Austin Energy. Even at night with the AC on, the batteries easily provide the needed electricity. I feel we have gotten more than our monies worth. “My initial discussion about solar panels began with Carey (one of the owners of Greenbelt Solar). She was very patient in providing several proposals based on my electric usage, how much I wanted to spend, and also the type of inverters or solar panels. After a lot of deliberation I decided on a specific proposal so that we could start the installation. The final quote we got was lower than the other quotes we had received, and I was impressed by their patience, knowledge about solar and quot;thingsand quot; and all my questions, and prompt communication – Carey was always available by phone or email – which was important to me as I like to know as much as possible in detail before deciding on something like this. Adi (the second owner I interacted with) was in charge of the actual installation. He and his crew were excellent on the roof. The solar panels were installed in about a week (we had 30 panels and 30 microinverters). They were professional, polite, and had the know-how to make the correct decisions if something was not right. When there was an issue found by the Austin Energy inspector at the final inspection, Adi and his team fixed it right away. The rumor is that Austin Energy would take time to schedule another appointment with the inspector if the inspection does not pass in the 1st round, so Adi wanted to get the fix in at the earliest so we could pass the inspection and turn on our solar system.
