“I had a new roof and solar panels installed by ISP in March 2023. They promised me a new roof to support my solar panels — nothing was wrong with my roof beforehand. By September 2023, my roof was leaking into my dining room. An inspection found the entire roof was mushy and full of water. They gave me the runaround for weeks, kept coming to fix one shingle at a time, and the roof kept leaking. I had to hire my own independent contractor to fix it because ISP was incapable. After that, any issues with the solar went unanswered for weeks. The contract is impossible to get out of and I have no choice but to keep paying every month. “Ask them 1,000 questions before you sign anything and make sure everything is in writing. My whole roof is covered with solar panels and yet I sometimes pay $100 extra to Eversource.
