“Started to work with Tom Alley late last year to install a grid tie system in western Iowa. Tom was very attentive to getting things started – but the finance company declined to fund the project when they found that the property was owned by an LLC. Looked for other financing options – but nothing made sense, only consumer loans at high interest rates. Decided not to pursue the project due to the lack of available funding. By this time, I had already paid the $2,500 deposit. Just after the first of May, I contacted Tom and requested a return of the deposit. Couple of days later, he sent me a text that Jordan, the owner of the company would be giving me a call sometime soon. On June 7th, I texted Tom and let him know that I had not heard from Jordan. Tom committed to remind him the next day – – no contact from Jordan. June 22nd – texted Tom and again stated that I had not heard from Jordan….Tom again committed to remind him the next day – – no contact from Jordan. Signed contract in October hoping to get done by the end of Dec. and claim the federal rebate. Panels installed early November then nothing. I call the office and get no return calls. Then I hear from Drew from Lifeline Solar telling he’d be over seeing this project. Im the one calling him on updates only to here the same old story. Now its Feb. 2026 wondering if ill ever get this system on line. My patience with company is running out fast. Guess i need to start thinking of legal out. Payment are to start in May 2026. “If I can rate this company 0, I will give them 0. If you are looking for a solar panel installer, please stay away from this company. First, the agent came into our house telling us that they will only use our roof for the panels and we will not pay anything. Our electric bill will be covered by the panels and the excess electricity will go to the grid. The next day, a different sale’s agent named Mac went to our house prepared with a contract. Since we wanted a solar panel because we love our ENVIRONMENT, we signed the contract. Now they installed the panel in September. Someone from this company told me to answer yes to the lender’s question if the panel has been installed. Little did I know that it will be the start of lender’s contract. I got an email from Evergy saying that the connection was rejected. So, someone from Lifetime cane in our house again and got it fixed. Then, I got the same email from Evergy that the same problem wasn’t resolved. Now, we are paying the lender plus our monthly Evergy bill. The panels are still not working. “I had a representative come to my home. And give us the entire spew about the product , company , financing, etc… we received all the plans and placard. The installers show up and install our panels. In a completely different location on our roof that we had agreed on. And when I attempted endlessly to contact the representative that came to our home with no response at all!!! We contacted Lifetime Solar Panels with no response. Finally got in touch with someone and they wanted pictures we sent pictures still waiting 3 weeks after and nothing. It has been since October and still nothing.
