What Do Customers Say About the Metro Solar?
Positive reviews:
“I enjoyed working with this company, smooth experience from beginning to end. Kathy and Dave kept me up to date on what was happening and when. Easy to use system too! That’s a plus for me!” – Jenny H ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ May 2, 2023
Negative reviews:
“As other reviewers have noted you will want to avoid working with Dave and his team at Metro Solar. In my experience they are highly unprofessional and as a business philosophy seem to cut corners wherever they can on installations. Good luck getting any type of resolution when their corner cutting results in issues. I can think of no good reason to expose yourself to the risk of working with this company. You have been warned, but if for some reason you like to take chances with your time and money keep the following in mind. 1. Make sure they provide you with a detailed quote including an itemized breakdown of materials and labor costs. Failure to demand this could be costly. 2. Make sure they spell out exactly what their warranty on parts and labor covers, or you may find not much if anything is covered. 3. Lastly, save yourself the trouble and use another contractor.” – Todd W ⭐☆☆☆☆ July 12, 2020
“I bought two new Viessman boilers from Metro Solar and had a very bad experience. The crew who installed the boilers told me they had never installed Viessman boilers before. One did not work. I was told it was an airlock, it was my fault, and I would have to pay for them to return to fix the problem. I refused. I read the Viessman guarantee and learned if I used untrained non-Viessman certified workers to do a repair on the boilers I would void my Viessman guarantee, which only covered parts and not the service call. I had to hire a certified Viessman technician to fix the problem. I was told it was not an airlock. I would never do business with Metro Solar again.” – Don C ⭐☆☆☆☆ March 1, 2024
Positive reviews:

I have always had great responses from my customers they have been incredibly happy with Nate and the crew. I have always been pleased with him keeping to their timeline leaving the job site orderly and doing exactly as I had expected.” – Tim S. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ January 24, 2018
“Metro has installed solar on several of my rental properties in the Denver area. I am very happy with both their rates and service. They have helped me to increase the value of my rentals. Thanks Rhea!” – Gerry S. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ May 15, 2018
Negative reviews:
“Called the number on the website to see if they provided commercial solar installation (not explicitly clear on the site) wanted someone to talk to and the receptionist told me I would have to mail my business card to their office? When I seemed puzzled by this she directed me to their website and refused to answer anymore of my questions. wow!! interesting approach!!” – Taylor L. ⭐☆☆☆☆ December 1, 2020
“I paid Metro Solar $20,000 to design and install a solar hot water storage system.Their design was faulty resulting in one of the pumps failing twice. Metro Solar refused to honor the warranty on the pump or the installation. They wanted to charge me $780 to replace the pump which still had 2 years left on the warranty. The retail price of the pump is $350 and the warranty was honored by the manufacturer (Taco). Not only did they overcharge me, they do not collect sales tax when they should so they can pocket what they call a ‘discount’. They then wanted to charge me $2,300 to fix their poor design.I was able to install a new pump and fix their faulty design on my own.” – Tony D. ⭐☆☆☆☆ March 13, 2017
Positive reviews:
“Metro Solar and their team is outstanding. They installed our system almost 20 years ago and have ,maintained it since then. They are responsive when I have a question or an issue and always take care of everything completely. Our solar heating system has saved us a lot of money over the years because Metro Solar always makes sure everything works as it should. Thank you Dave and your entire team. You are the best!” – Larry Samuelson ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ October 2025

Do We Recommend Metro Solar Services?
Average Performer
Metro Solar gets the Average Performer badge and works in 1 state, but their third-party ratings don’t go above 4. Local community trust isn’t their strong suit either – their score is 3.9 in our evaluation. This badge means they are somehow reliable, but you need to pay more attention to what they have to offer. While Metro Solar may not lead the pack, they are certainly recognized for their capacity to meet a broad range of solar installation needs with commendable customer satisfaction. When considering this solar installer, you can add Metro Solar to your list as a lower priority and one that requires additional research before you decide to work with them.
