What Do Customers Say About the Precision General Contracting?

yelp.com

Positive reviews:

“Five stars, no hesitation! Carly is awesome–super friendly and organized. Eric and his crew installed our new Anlin windows in just a couple of days, and the difference in noise reduction is insane. Bob set up the appointment quickly, and Adrian helped us get financing that actually fit our budget. Highly recommend PGD!” – Krystal G. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ December 12, 2025

“Working with Precision General Contracting was great. They replaced my roof quickly to meet an insurance deadline. Huge thanks to Carly in the office–she was always super friendly and helpful when I had questions. Highly recommend them for any home improvement needs!” – Sacha C. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ December 3, 2024

Negative reviews:

“We hired this company applied coating to the exterior of our home. We were told that they will power wash the exterior and repair any damage prior to applying the coating. Things looked good for a couple of years and then we noticed that certain parts of the exterior had peeling paint. We have 25 year warranty so first contacted the company in 2019. We got the run around and nobody came. It is now 6 years later and they still have not honored the warranty. I called the company several times and I was referred to Eric. Eric has gone MIA and would not respond to my texts and call. He keeps on promising to send inspectors but no one has come by. We will be filing a small claims suit to make sure they are accountable to their warranty.” – Jaime L. ⭐☆☆☆☆ July 21, 2025

“After paying almost twenty grand, unavailable to reach the messed-up gutters they installed. We tried several times contacting their office manager, their project manager, their marketing director & their foreman- to No Avail! Never never use this company!” – Emgee G. ⭐☆☆☆☆ February 8, 2026

Positive reviews:

“Craftsmanship, concrete work, mostly year round; weather pending; hard work, travel some but not far. No benefits included, but pay is good. Does reallu good work.” – Construction Assistant ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ August 20, 2019

“I learned a lot about the construction process through my internship experience. I also had the opportunity to do extensive cost estimating work, gained valuable experience.” – Construction Management Intern ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ September 13, 2017

Negative reviews:

“Riddled with problems that all stem from the Owner. Work begins with the owner arriving late; a common occurrence. Immediately the day is marked by lack of planning, and ill-prepared direction. The hardest part is adjusting to continuous changes in type of work, schedule, location, and unfortunately the pay scale.” – Project Manager ⭐⭐☆☆☆ August 7, 2017

“You are thrown out into the field with minimal support or direction. There is a through you under the buss idealogy instead of team first.I worked 2 and a half months straight with no days off. Estimating team got the jobs but missed so much scope that we were forced to stretch contract scope with sub contractors. .” – Project Manager ⭐⭐☆☆☆ July 25, 2017

Positive reviews:

“We had a great experience with Precision General Contracting! They did a wonderful job with the work at our house. They were professional, reliable, and paid attention to the details. We’re very happy with the results and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for quality work.” – Noemi Taylor ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ July 2026

“We had panoramic sliding doors installed about 3 years ago. The threshold was rusting and we did not k ow why. Precision sent out Marty and he did a fantastic job on the repairs. We were so pleased with the job he did. Great guy.” – Ernesto Alanis ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ June 2026

Negative reviews:

“We had Precision install solar and an HVAC system in our house. The solar has been flawless. However, we started having issues with the HVAC randomly shutting off after a couple of years. After numerous calls and emails to Precision which went unanswered, we called another HVAC company (Anderson) out to fix the system. They told us the system was not installed to code, that it was leaking condensate water into our ceiling because the safety switch was not working and was a safety hazard due to there not being enough clearance from the roof. We had another HVAC company (ASI) come out and they confirmed what Anderson said. I sent a letter via Certified USPS with a Return Receipt requested to Precision letting them know of the issue, including detailing photographs, and asked them to repair the system. They signed for the letter but never responded. Finally, due to the safety hazard and the leaks into our ceiling, we had to pay to have the system replaced.” – Scott Barber ⭐☆☆☆☆ May 2026

“Originally hired to install windows. Great experience. We then looked at them to install new roof and solar panels. We started contracting at end on July 2025. Roof installed by September with solar panels. Been told several times that solar will be operational within a week only to fly by those estimated schedule. They have blamed SDGE, but when the inspector showed up in November, they did not follow the drawings on grounding, and the inspection failed. Been asking for a schedule since November and have not gotten a straight answer. Then in December, the contractor did not fasten down sky light and wind took it away for a ride, causing my outdoor area to get water damage. They installed a new skylight and fastened it down this time. We are now near end of February 2026 and still have no answer for when I will be able to use my solar panels. If I had known solar was a racket I would not have tried to get in before the change of law end of year 2025. Terrible experience and recommend others looking for roofing contractors to go elsewhere.” – Ricky Luevano ⭐☆☆☆☆ February 2026
