What Do Customers Say About the Public Service Solar?

energysage.com

Positive reviews:

“Public Service Solar is a best quality, experienced, and honest solar installer. I was impressed with everything they did for me. They explained very well the initial estimate and then the final quote. They knew NJ and Edison power rules and regulations. They got my panels installed AHEAD OF SCHEDULE. They had the engineer explain the design and what I should expect from the solar panels. I got a 15 panel installation. I did my research: the panels they used were the among best in the industry (Maxeon). The inverters were also among the best, if not the best. (EnPhase IQ8HC. Not all EnPhase inverters can handle 440 watts!). Public Service Solar has the best warrantee I could find, and the equipment they installed had the best warranty, too. I’m recommending Public Service Solar to my sister in law. Equipment: Maxeon Solar Technologies SPR-MAX3-410-BLK with 40 year Manufacturer Warranty Inverters: 15 Enphase Energy IQ8HC with 25 year Manufacturer Warranty Mounting Hardware: Iron Ridge Mounting Hardware with 25 year Manufacturer Warranty.” – Drcoffman ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ January 4, 2026

“I’m an engineer with seriously high standards for quality, and I can’t recommend Public Service Solar enough for our roof replacement and solar install. Seriously, they were professional, totally competent, and completely focused on making us happy. If there was a tiny hiccup, they owned it instantly and fixed it flawlessly. What really set them apart was their integrity and smart, technically sound approach. Right off the bat, they were honest enough to say we weren’t a good fit because of shade—unlike other companies who just wanted to push huge, pointless systems. The whole team was awesome and super coordinated: Mark (Sales), Jessica (Project Manager) with her amazing communication, Eddy (Roofer) doing top-notch work, Mike (Engineering), and Tony (the Owner) who was always involved and easy to reach. The final setup was technically perfect, totally up to code, used great components, and was a fair price. The support after the installation is honestly unmatched. After we got a generator installed by a third party, Mike actually sent a technician out at no charge just to inspect the solar wiring, even though they’re located pretty far from us. That’s next-level service.” – ilia.meerovich ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ December 8, 2025

“After shopping I feel company. I realize this company has the best customer service.. Their technician is very professional and responsive when there was an issue.. I love their service. Definitely referred them to my friends.” – Amy ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ December 18, 2025

“First of all, Public Service Solar provided one of best proposals in the bunch. I was impressed by their choice of materials including 420 KW Panasonic panels and Iron Ridge roof mounting hardware, recognized as among the best in the industry. Last thing you want is leaks! This is clearly a top notch professional outfit. They provided an app to keep you informed on the progress of the project and later for monitoring your solar panel output. I’m waiting to see how the latter functions. The installers did an excellent job. It was evident these guys knew what they were doing. Very efficient. I particularly like the concealed electrical connections between panels on adjacent roof sections and the critter guards which provides a cleaner finished look. Those metal pipes can be quite unsightly on top of your house. Anyway, I’m glad I selected PPS.” – Alwin Eugene ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ September 17, 2025

“Public Service Solar (PSS) was a pleasure to work with throughout our home solar journey. We initially got connected via EnergySage after they provided a competitive bid, which we subsequently reviewed with an EnergySage Energy Advisor. The 1 day installation was done without issue and we’ve been producing power for over 1 month now. PSS handled all of the township and utility applications and permits and kept us well informed about the process and progress. The Public Service Solar app is a great way to track project progress, solar generation, and for making referrals to friends and neighbors.” – Matthew C. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ September 12, 2025

“I would recommend Public Service Solar to anyone looking for a solar roof. It was a good experience from start to finish. During the planning phase they answered all of my questions. The work was very professional. Also compared to other installs that I have seen while driving around mine was very clean looking, not a lot of conduit running all over. and when they were done it was like they were never here, no mess whatsoever!” – Kevin R. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ November 14, 2025

Positive reviews:

“Job was NOT roofing, it was a solar project* Public Service Solar was chosen because of their experience, value for money spent and use of technology. Once chosen they took care of everything, including coordination and permitting with township, utility and inspectors. Every employee I spoke with was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They were thorough and quick with time of project being about 4 months from signing contract to receiving permission to operate. Enjoying my new solar system and looking forward to continuing my relationship with them. For anyone looking to have solar installed, I would highly recommend Public Service Solar.” – Paul K. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ January 2025

“We recently chose Public Service Solar to install solar panels on our roof after doing extensive research and receiving several bids. Public Service Solar provided the best proposal overall, having both a lower cost per watt and a superior design. Their warranties are also excellent. After an initial consultation and site visit, Public Service Solar did an analysis of the sunlight exposure on my roof, and they proposed installing panels in the areas that received the most sunlight, in order to maximize production. They arranged for permits for my system and worked with my local electricity company to make sure all the details were ready for the installation. After all the parts were ordered and the approvals were in place, they actually installed my system in a single day. They have been totally professional and great to work with. I *highly* recommend them if you are considering installing solar panels for your house.” – Leslie H. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ September 2024

Positive reviews:

“Public Service Solar delivered exactly as they said they would, from replacing the new roof, installing the panels and following through on all administrative tasks. If I had a question about anything, they were quick to respond and continue to do so almost a year after the installation. I am very happy with the company and the monthly savings I see since the switch was initiated. I truly pay PP&L $15 a month for my usage fees, that’s it. So far the winter temperatures have not changed anything. I am glad we made the choice of going solar and signing with Public Service Solar.” – Anthony Guerrero ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ December 2025

“After weeding out other solar companies, we were extremely happy with our choice of Public Service Solar. Their employees explained everything ahead of time, did the work and installed perfectly (with added difficulty due to our 200 year old house), showed us how to monitor our systems’s energy production, and were generally nice, normal people to work with! We chose to have a battery installed and when we lose electrical grid power, the battery kicks in within a second! I love that my car is now also powered by solar when charging at home. Our family recommends Public Service Solar!” – Shelly Boback ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ December 2025

Negative reviews:

“Was initially happy with the response time on getting things set up with solar but our brand new roof has since started leaking in less than a year. PSS sent out some of their techs as well as a roofer to inspect and even after the roofer said panels never should’ve been installed at that pitch, PSS insisted they didn’t damage the (again, brand new) roof. They then back tracked to say they saw damage on the roof before it was replaced and then damage coming through on the new roof, but conveniently failed to mention during any part of the process? Really not a great look.” – Paige Carson ⭐☆☆☆☆ July 2025

“I’m an Ex-Navy Pilot… Bruce B is the worst. It’s a joke that the website says ‘pressure free’ – Bruce gave me a quote that was way too high… I was actually courteous enough to let him know I would be going in a different direction – he kept pestering me to ‘go over it’ with him to make sure it was ‘apples-to-apples’ – I gave him another chance to correct his quote if anything was wrong and he sent me the same quote again! I called to let him know and he was belligerent and hung up. AVOID THIS COMPANY!” – Michael Jenkins ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2024
