Positive reviews:
“We`ve been priveleged to use RES, Inc before and find them extremely good. We`ve had solar for decades, first in CA, and service there was also good with the right company. We`re glad to recommend RES anytime to anyone. We`re off the grid to tie-in questions are N/A. The gov`ts should give larger and easier to obtain incentives if solar is ever going to be as big as it should be. But look at the government we have now—they act clueless!” – Ray Broggini ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ September 9, 2007
“RES is a highly professional company that provides excellent customer service, knowledge, and skills.” – Pat Moore ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ August 29, 2005
Positive reviews:
“My off grid solar system began losing power overnight. The installer had moved to the mainland and I was tasked with finding someone to assist me with the battery warranty process. After much searching I found Renewable Energy Services, the only company willing to take on the job. To my delight Sierra, the receptionist and Cherish, not sure of her title, assured me that they could sort out all the issues for me. They quickly dispatched Kalub, a technician, to my home.He was awesome! He really knew his stuff. He took a few of my batteries for further testing and after contacting the manufacturer and dealing with them returned with an assistant , Shandon, and together replaced all of my batteries and correctly reprogrammed my system. I’m extremely pleased with Renewable Energy Services. They are top notch!” – Paul R. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ March 7, 2025
“RES replaced an older solar setup with new classier panels and upgraded equipment. We couldn’t be happier with the results. The system meets our needs well and the batteries charge very quickly. The best part was dealing with a team of true professionals that know their business and deliver a great product. Excellent communications. No BS. No surprises. And they have a reputation as the best on the island. Give them a call.” – Les V. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ February 3, 2022
Positive reviews:
“With a massive Kona low coming in, our Tesla Powerwall Storm Watch feature kicked in on its own and started charging our battery. The peace of mind just knowing we’ll have a full battery if we lose electricity is priceless! Thank you Joe and the RES team!” – N P ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ January 2026
“Following years of frustration dealing with other solar power service providers, we finally found RES. The level of responsiveness, professionalism and communication is unmatched, not just in Hawaii, but by international standards. Any issue that has arisen garners a response within a business day, with sustained solutions within days. Highly recommend!” – R Johnson ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ July 2025
