Positive reviews:
“It is fun to come to work at a place where the others around you are smart and hard-working. Makes it feel more rewarding when big tasks are accomplished.” – Manager ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ October 6, 2023
“Good workplace environment. Learned a lot about managing employees and encouraging them to learn job content, gain confidence, and become more independent. Most challenging aspects are managing walk-in traffic and questions from office staff while simultaneously answering questions for field crew — juggling multiple things at once and prioritizing tasks in order of importance.” – General Manager ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ October 6, 2023
Positive reviews:
“We recently had a PowerShield backup system installed in our home. We had a good experience with RES from start to finish — from easy-to-understand explanations of the system to onsite inspection and installation. We are now ready for a generator-free power outage.” – Edward Eggleston ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ March 2026
“After enjoying a nearly trouble-free 4 years with our whole house battery backup system installed by Renewable Energy Systems, we experienced a system failure. The staff worked very hard to troubleshoot and solve our challenging problem in our remote location and helped update and improve our existing system for years to come. We very much appreciate the prompt and high-quality service we received and would definitely recommend RES!” – Laura W. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ December 2025
Negative reviews:
“Very poor follow-up service. They provided an inverter with incorrect firmware, which caused power surges and killed some of my electronic devices. They will not advise on settings without charging a fee. Spent over $7k with them with no long-term investment in their customers. Caution.” – Joshua Scott ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2024
“We had them replace solar panel brackets that had failed for the second time. We were quoted 1 to 2 hours of labor at $125 per hour. When Kevin called, the charge was $500 — two guys at $125 per hour for 2 hours, even though they were only there for 1.5 hours, and we were never informed we’d be charged for two workers. Charged double to fix brackets that continue to fail. I have plans to buy more panels and off-grid equipment — it won’t be from them.” – Alison Bucy ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2024
